Abstract: In an example embodiment, a solution that allows a PBX to utilize bridged mobile or desktop applications for collaboration and softphone use is provided. The solution works in conjunction with existing hardwired PBX devices without requiring additional hardware such as an edge router to be integrated with the PBX hardware. Incoming calls are able to ring a user's hardwired device, such as a desk phone at an office, while simultaneously ring mobile device or desktop applications (apps). App users can place outbound PSTN calls and dial PBX extensions just as if they were using their hardwired device. Additionally, PSTN services are utilized from the existing PBX rather than bypassing the existing PBX, which makes tracking and billing more straightforward. A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) tie trunk is used between the existing PBX and a software bridge controller.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a solution is provided that introduces a second level IVR component controlled by a call control service that also controls a first IVR component. Controlling the IVR components using this call control service (which also interfaces with client software operated by a human agent) allows for data collected during the IVR sessions or during a live session with the human agent to be shared among the components. This also acts to eliminate the need for a traditional “transfer” of a call from a human agent to an IVR or vice versa, which would often be accompanied by audible clicks or beeps discernable to the caller.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a solution is provided that provides multiple call control service instances for each media server instance. When one of the call control service instances needs to be updated, the media server is instructed to direct newly received voice calls to another of the call control instances. The call control service instance to be updated remains operating normally until all voice calls handled by that call control service instance have ended naturally, but any new calls received during that time are directed to one of the other call control service instances. Only once all the voice calls handled by the call control service instance to be updated have ended is that call control service instance actually updated, without having had to disconnect a live call.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a tool to provide calendar integration with video conferencing technology to allow for the rendering of a specialized graphical user interface during a video conference that displays not only an identification of which users are currently attending or otherwise connected to the video conference but also an identification of users that have been invited to the video conference but not yet attended.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a cloud-based unified communications solution and collaboration platform is provided that includes private branch exchange (PBX) business phone service, among other services, in one interface. Furthermore, in an example embodiment, this cloud-based unified communications solution enables a feature called “call flip,” which allows a user to transfer an active phone call from one device of the user to another device of the same user, without disconnecting the phone call, and despite both devices sharing a common extension or phone number. More particularly, the system is able to detect that a user wishes to perform a “call flip”, identify the device from which the user is attempting to perform the call flip, identify the other devices associated with the user, and then ring only the other devices and not the device from which the user is attempting to perform the call flip.

In this way the host and invites calendars can be automatically updated and populated with session information and information on how to joint the session, e.g., on-line meeting or conference.

Abstract: A method and system of sharing a folder in a file system between an owner and a grantee is provided. An indication of a folder to share with a grantee may be received from the owner. The folder to share may be a subfolder within a parent folder, the parent folder not shared with the grantee. Then, sharing permissions indicating a level of access the grantee has to the folder may be stored with the folder. A virtual folder corresponding to the folder to share may be created on a device of the grantee. The virtual folder maps to all objects within the folder to share and may be stored at a level equal to parent folders of a file hierarchy on device of the grantee.

The log-in page is then modified to hide the one or more log-in fields. Credentials corresponding to a user of the client device and also corresponding to the third-party service are then obtained. The modified log-in page is sent to the client device via the VPN connection. A log-in submission is received from the third-party application. The credentials corresponding to the user and to the third-party service are sent to the third-party service to log-in the user to the third-party service.

Abstract: The present application relates to a computer having a processor configured to execute a set of instructions to render a customised version of a restricted document object model. A restricted element in a document object model is identified and at least one rule associated with the restricted element is accessed. The at least one rule is applied to the restricted element to generate a modified document object model which is then rendered. A related computer-implemented method is also covered by the present application. The present application relates to server-side authentication techniques; content filtering based on user-specific and context-based requirements; and audit trail techniques.

Abstract: Methods and systems of encrypting files at a client in a cloud-based file system are provided. A first key corresponding to an organization to which the client belongs is obtained. Then a first file is encrypted using the first key. Then the encrypted first file is transmitted to a server via a secure channel, for storage in a storage device shared among multiple organizations, the storage device containing one or more files encrypted using keys different than the first key.

Abstract: A copy of a first file may be stored in a first instance of a file space associated with a user of a first client device. An event is generated for a first modification of the first file and the event is sent to a server. A current revision number of the file space is obtained from the server, and the current revision number is compared to a past revision number corresponding to a last time files were synchronized to the first client device. In response to a determination that the current revision number is higher than the past revision number, a number of events that have occurred to the file space are requested from the server, the number of events corresponding to a difference between the current revision number and the past revision number. The first instance of the file space is updated based on the events.
