  • Publication number: 20220224743
Abstract: An embodiment includes determining, in response to receiving data at a source node for transmission as streaming data on a network, whether a characteristic of the data indicates that an attribute of the data includes sensitive information. The embodiment also includes calculating, responsive to determining that the attribute includes sensitive information, an entropy value for the attribute. The embodiment also includes determining, responsive to the calculating of the entropy value, a likelihood that the attribute is encrypted by comparing the entropy value to a threshold value. The embodiment also includes generating a parameter value for a cryptographic parameter for the attribute.

  • Patent number: 10275478
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for synchronizing data to update backup files. In one embodiment, data associated with files to be synchronized is sent to a second computer system by a first computers system. The second computer system matches data associated with the files to be synchronized to a database, and the first computer system determines differences between an old and new version of the files to be synchronized and creates a backup of the files. The backup of the files is stored in a storage device.

  • Patent number: 10270596
Abstract: A method for generating a dump comprising data generated by a virtual system in a computing environment is depicted. The method comprises: initiating a dump process for dumping data generated by the virtual system and stored in guest memory; sending a dump request for the data from the virtual machine monitor to the trusted component; in response to receiving the dump request, generating a symmetric dump generating key; reading the data from the guest memory; encrypting the data with the symmetric dump generating key; encrypting the symmetric dump generating key with the public cryptographic key of the client system; providing the encrypted dump data and the encrypted symmetric dump generating key to the virtual machine monitor; generating a dump comprising the encrypted dump data and the encrypted symmetric dump generating key; and providing the dump to the client system.

  • Publication number: 20090271206
Abstract: A system and method of decreasing server loads and, more particularly, to decrease server load by automatically determining subgroups based on object interactions and computational expenditures. The system includes a plurality of servers; a subgroup optimization module configured to segment a plurality of objects into optimal subgroups; and a server transfer module configured to apportion one or more of the optimal subgroups between the plurality of servers based on a load of each of the plurality of servers. The method includes determining a relationship amongst a plurality of objects; segmenting the objects into optimized subgroups based on the relationships; and apportioning the optimized subgroups amongst a plurality of servers based on server load.

  • Patent number: 7572650
Abstract: A method and structure for suppressing localized metal precipitate formation (LMPF) in semiconductor processing. For each metal wire that is exposed to the manufacturing environment and is electrically coupled to an N region, at least one P+ region is formed electrically coupled to the same metal wire. As a result, few excess electrons are available to combine with metal ions to form localized metal precipitate at the metal wire. A monitoring ramp terminal can be formed around and electrically disconnected from the metal wire. By applying a voltage difference to the metal wire and the monitoring ramp terminal and measuring the resulting current flowing through the metal wire and the monitoring ramp terminal, it can be determined whether localized metal precipitate is formed at the metal wire.

  • Patent number: 6093930
Abstract: A scanning probe microscope having a probe attachment fixture, to which a probe assembly is removably attached during measurements, driven in an engagement direction, and a sample stage driven in scanning directions perpendicular to the engagement direction includes a buffer with a number of buffer stations within the sample stage. When the stage is driven so that one of the buffer stations is in alignment with the attachment fixture, and when the attachment fixture is driven in the engagement direction to be in proximity to the buffer station, the probe assembly is selectively transferred in either direction between the attachment fixture and the buffer station. In a preferred embodiment, probe assemblies are transferred on transfer pallets, and a stationary magazine is provided for storing these pallets, which are transferred in either direction between the magazine and the buffer.
