Abstract: A system and method for progressive jackpot gaming during a casino game. One or more play tables may be present, each play table comprising a dealer console and a plurality of player input devices. Each of the player input devices is arranged to receive a respective player input. The dealer console is arranged for receiving input concerning one of a plurality of phases of a progressive jackpot game, for controlling an indicator provided on each player input device to indicate to each player the current phase, and for allowing the input of a player for participating in the progressive jackpot game only in a specific subset of the game phases. The dealer console is further arranged for administrating a cashless account for each of the player input devices, and to amend the cashless account according to the received respective player inputs.
