Abstract: An authenticating device is used for optically authenticating a testing area of a first surface of a valuable document. The valuable document defines a normal perpendicular to the first surface and a datum penetrating the normal and two sides of the valuable document. The datum and the first surface collectively define a first area and a second area adjacent to the first area. The authenticating device includes a first light emitting unit, a second light emitting unit, and a light receiving component. The first light emitting unit is arranged within the first area. The second light emitting unit is arranged within the first area. The light receiving component is arranged within the second area. The first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit emit light to the testing area in sequence for authenticating the variable document.

  • Patent number: 8475243
Abstract: A coin dispensing and storing device includes a body, coin collecting tubes, a left rotatable support, a pivotal plate and a right rotatable support. Coins are received in the coin collecting tubes. The left rotatable support is pivotally connected to one side of the body. The left rotatable support allows a portion of the coin collecting tubes to be disposed therein. The pivotal plate is pivotally connected to the other side of the body. The right rotatable support is connected to the pivotal plate. The right rotatable support allows the remaining portion of the coin collecting tubes to be disposed therein. The left and the right rotatable supports can be pivotally received in or rotated to the outside of the body. With this arrangement, the operation is labor-saving. Further, the force exerting on the respective rotatable supports can be distributed efficiently to reduce the generation of damage and deformation.

  • Patent number: 8203448
Abstract: A foreign object detecting apparatus in bill passageway includes a laser light source, a first light detector and a second light detector. The laser light source is arranged in a first lateral side to emit a coherent laser beam toward a second lateral side. The first light detector is arranged in the second lateral side to receive the coherent laser beam and to measure the intensity of the coherent laser beam. The second light detector is arranged in one of a top side and a bottom side, wherein when a foreign object is presence in the bill passageway, the intensity of the coherent laser beam received by the first light detector is decreased by the blocking of the foreign object, and at least a portion of the coherent laser beam which is reflected, refracted, diffracted or scattered by the foreign object is received by the second light detector.

  • Patent number: 7537213
Abstract: An individual sheet member output control method used in a sheet member dispenser to control reversing of a transferring roller set for a secondary dispensing by a dispensing roller set when a sensor detected delivery of overlapped sheet members toward a sheet member outlet. The reversing and re-dispensing procedure is repeated to have overlapped sheet members be separated, and the transferring roller set is reversed to move overlapped sheet members backwards and then the machine is shut down for examination if overlapped sheet members still cannot be separated after the reversing and re-dispensing procedure has been repeated a predetermined number of times.
