Abstract: A microcapsule composition containing microcapsules coated with a deposition protein, e.g., a protein-silanol copolymer, a protein-silane copolymer, a protein-siloxane copolymer, or a cationically modified protein, is provided as is a method for making the microcapsule composition and using the microcapsule composition in consumer products, in particular rinse-off consumer product.
Abstract: A capsule delivery system. The system has a first capsule containing a first capsule wall encapsulating a first active material and a second capsule containing a second capsule wall encapsulating a second active material. The first and second capsules differ in their wall materials, amounts of wall materials, ratios of wall materials, core modifiers, scavengers, active materials, curing temperatures, heating rates, curing times, or a combination thereof. Also provided is a consumer product containing this capsule delivery system.

Abstract: Amine-catalyzed formation of cyclic allylic nitro compounds via nitro-aldol reaction is disclosed. A greener solvent and a cheaper, more robust catalyst than in previous reports are used in the nitro-aldol reaction. After screening a range of catalysts the reaction is developed as a selective method of synthesis of ?-dehydroherbac and the scope is demonstrated with a small collection of additional substrates.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cyclopropanation process comprising the step of reacting an alkene compound having at least one carbon-carbon double bond with at least one dihaloalkane. The reaction is carried out in the presence of (i) particulate metal Zn, (ii) catalytically effective amount of particulate metal Cu or a salt thereof, (iii) at least one haloalkylsilane, and (iv) at least one solvent.
Abstract: A microcapsule composition useful in delivering an active material contains a first microcapsule and a second microcapsule. The first microcapsule has a zeta potential of 10 mV or greater, the second microcapsule has a zeta potential of 5 mV or less, and the weight ratio of the first microcapsule and the second microcapsule is between 1:10 and 10:1. Also disclosed are consumer products containing such a microcapsule composition.

Abstract: Disclosed is a chemical process of preparing dehydrohedione from Hedione via ?-chlorination and elimination steps. The process can be conducted in a one-pot process or in a continuous reactor system. Accordingly, a simple and cost effective process of preparing cis-Hedione enriched products is developed through reduction of dehydrohedione in the presence of a chiral catalyst system.
