    Abstract: A waterproofing membrane composition is provided which is strong, easy to use, trowelable, flexible, passes negative hydrostatic test ASTM D4068 and which can be flood tested after 24 hours @ 70° F. of application. The waterproofing membrane composition contains a flexible polymer, preferably an epoxy containing polyether chains formed from a glycol, a flexible curing agent, sand, and an aramid fiber. The epoxy component also preferably includes an epoxy flexibilizer and a reactive diluent for epoxy chain termination. A p-aramid fiber is preferred and it is highly preferred to use the polymer fiber in a pulp form which has a fibrillated structure.

    Abstract: A cover and system are provided for protecting an electrical enclosure during intense storms. The cover includes a top wall and a sidewall parametrically bounding the top wall and that is attached thereto. The cover further includes at least one vent disposed in the sidewall for allowing heat to escape from the enclosure. Loops are attached to the sidewall for receiving an adjustable length cable tie. An adhesive is provided for releasably coupling the cover to the enclosure thereby securing the cover to the enclosure along with the tightened cable tie. The cover, vent, adjustable length cable tie, and adhesive form the system for protecting the electrical enclosure.

A downhole tool (2) comprises a body (4) having a bore extending longitudinally therethrough, wherein the tool (2) further comprises a one-way valve (24,26) for allowing a flow of fluid in a first direction through the tool bore and preventing a flow of fluid in a second direction through the tool bore, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The tool further comprises mandrel (38) for rendering the one-way valve (24,26) inoperable so as to be ineffective at preventing fluid flow; and a shear pin assembly (44,40) for selectively making the one-way valve operable so as to be effective at allowing fluid flow in the first direction and preventing fluid flow in the second direction.

A distal end of the latch arm includes a latch lip. The latch lip engages the latch opening in the rear portion of the body when the cover is in a closed position. A release mechanism is coupled to the rear portion of the body. The release mechanism includes a cam for engaging the latch lip of the latch arm to force the latch lip out of the latch opening when the release mechanism is moved from a latch position to a latch release position.

    Abstract: Latch control methods and systems are disclosed, including a latch that receives power from a motor associated with a latch. A sensor can be provided for monitoring the current consumption of the motor. A microcontroller can control the latch and/or the motor, based on the current consumption data received from the sensor concerning the current consumption of the motor. Monitoring of the current waveform of the motor therefore provides speed and direction feedback data for control of the latch. Additionally, a microprocessor can process instructions for controlling the interaction of the motor, the latch, the sensor and/or the microcontroller. Such a current monitoring control system is made possible by variation in current consumption of the motor during rotation as a result of commutation, which can be interrogated by measuring the voltage drop across the motor or a shunt resistor, or through the use of other current sensors, such as, for example, a Hall-effect type current sensor.

    Abstract: In a tubular skylight, an Aluminum sheet having corrugations that may be in a waffle pattern is formed with a hole that is pressed into a curb which is fastened over the turret of a roof-mounted skylight flashing. Roof tiles above the dome of the skylight are placed onto the sheet, while below the dome the sheet is placed over roof tiles and manually conformed thereto, owing to the corrugations. Any water that leaks past tiles above the dome will be directed by the sheet around the curb and down onto the tops of tiles that are below the dome, thereby providing a water seal for the skylight. Clips can be used to hold the lower edge of the sheet onto the tiles.

    Abstract: A carton for carrying containers, such as cans, or other articles in two layers which has an interlocking separator pad between the two layers is provided. This separator pad has at least one leading flap which extends through slits provided on the side end flaps on the interlocking end of the carton so that the leading flap is folded up or down and the bottom end flap and top end flap folded and glued to the side end flaps of the carton. This pad may have a trailing flap that is folded up or down on the other end of the carton to assist in holding the pad in position. This pad may have a leading flap on both ends for interlocking both ends of the carton to the interlocking separator pad. This carton may be provided with a dispenser in the side panel near the end on which the carton is rested to dispense cans. This dispenser may extend into the top panel and the bottom panel so that the ends of the cans can be grasped for easy removal.

A pump moves mixture from the bottle through the conduit. A source of pressurized air is in fluid communication with the conduit to aerate the mixture. The aerated mixture is expelled through a nozzle at distal end of the conduit. In one aspect, the controller can monitor speed of the pump by monitoring operating voltage of the pump. Speed of the pump can be adjusted to adjust application rate. In one aspect, a process combines a flow of air through an orifice with the metering of a low volume of additive, such as an aid to preservation, to a crop as it is being cut or harvested to provide for even distribution of the additive to the crop.
