Abstract: A machine including an adjustable cradle configured to hold, individually at different times, electronic devices having different dimensions. The machine also can include an alignment base configured to engage, individually at different times, with alignment mechanisms of overlay applicators. Each respective one of the overlay applicators can include a respective overlay configured to be applied to a respective surface of each of the electronic devices. The machine can be configured to facilitate applying, individually at different times, the respective overlays to the respective surfaces of the electronic devices. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: Methods for forming high temperature coating systems are provided. In embodiments, the coating formation method includes forming a fracture-resistant Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) layer over a workpiece surface. The fracture-resistant TBC layer is produced from a first coating precursor material containing an amount of zirconia in mole percent (ZrOmol%1) and an amount of tantala in mole percent (TaOmol%1). A Calcium-Magnesium Aluminosilicate (CMAS) resistant TBC layer is formed over the fracture-resistant TBC layer from a second coating precursor material, which contains an amount of zirconia in mole percent (ZrOmol%2), an amount of tantala in mole percent (TaOmol%2), and an amount of one or more rare earth oxides in mole percent (REOmol%2). The first and second coating precursor materials are formulated such that ZrOmol%1 is greater than ZrOmol%2, TaOmol%1 is less than TaOmol%2, and TaOmol%2 is substantially equivalent to REOmol%2.
Abstract: A novel maize variety designated X08R655 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08R655 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08R655 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X08R655, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08R655 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08R655 and methods of using maize variety X08R655 are disclosed.

One or more fans, when activated, cause a flow of air to travel through a portion of the first airflow pathway extending rearward of the electronic display in a first direction and a portion of the flow to leave the portion of the first airflow pathway and travel through the second airflow pathway, at least initially, in a second direction.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate to intelligently throttling a modification message based on a period of time that a trade order is required to remain in a market. In an embodiment, intelligently throttling a modification message includes intelligently selecting a transmission time of a modification message based on a period of time that a trade order is required to remain in a market. The modification message is transmitted at the selected time to ensure that the modification order is received at an electronic exchange at or shortly after, but not before, the period of time has expired. As a result, the modification order is accepted (e.g., not rejected) by the electronic exchange. The modification order does not need to be resent to the electronic exchange.

Abstract: Disclosed is a flight deck system comprising a controller for displaying message content from an ATC conversation. The controller is configured to: receive extracted message content from a plurality of messages; and generate a ticker tape graphical element having a first panel and a second panel for display as an overlay over a primary display on an aircraft display device. Abstract: A sensor walk-test may be streamlined by storing an expected behavior of sensor events. The sensor event data is then compared to the expected behavior of sensor events in order to determine which of the plurality of sensors need a sensor walk-test to verify proper operation of the sensor and which of the plurality of sensors do not need a sensor walk-test. A listing of which of the plurality of sensors are determined to need a sensor walk-test to verify proper operation of the sensor is displayed on a display of a user device. Communication testing may be streamlined in a similar manner.

Abstract: A bleed arrangement for a turbomachine that results in uniform flow to the combustor. A turbomachine includes a compressor, a combustor disposed to receive the compressed air from the compressor through a flow path, and a diffuser disposed in the flow path between the compressor and the combustor. A number of bleed holes are disposed downstream in the flow path from the diffuser and are configured to direct bleed air compressed by the compressor away from the combustor. The number of bleed holes have a plural number of sizes configured to provide uniform compressor exit flow distribution around a circumference of the diffuser.
