The task list occupies a portion of the same message panel that enables logon to the CPDLC session. When a task is completed, an indicator such as a checkmark can be displayed next to the associated task in the task list to indicate to the operator which tasks are completed. In some embodiments, the task label is removed from the task list once the associated task is completed, and when all tasks are completed, the task list is removed entirely from the message panel.
