Abstract: System and methods for identifying pulmonary arteries and veins and creating three-dimensional models of pulmonary arteries and veins. This invention helps lung surgical planning and quantitative analyses of the vessel relevant diseases and the study of vascular alternations, which may serve as biomarkers for other diseases (e.g., COPD or pulmonary hypertension) and their progressions.
