Patents Assigned to International Tools (1973) Limited
  • Patent number: 4319690
Abstract: A safety closure and container assembly including a container and a closure comprising outer and inner caps which may be attached to the container by conventional capping machines. In first, second, third and fourth embodiments of the invention, the inner cap is formed with a circular dome-shaped top panel with a skirt portion projecting axially therefrom. The projecting skirt portion is threaded on its interior surface for engagement with a conventionally threaded container finish. A plurality of upwardly extending and spaced apart drive members are integrally molded with the periphery of the top panel. A plurality of ramped ratchet lugs also extend upwardly from the upper surface of the top panel. The outer cap has a circular end wall with an axially projecting second skirt portion.

  • Patent number: 4318686
Abstract: An improved injection molding apparatus for molding parts of thermosetting plastic material. First and second mold portions which together form a mold cavity at their molding surfaces are heated to allow thermosetting plastic material to set within the mold cavity when under pressure. A fluid distribution member comprises a manifold having an inlet port, two or more spaced outlet ports and a passage interconnecting the inlet port with the outlet ports guides the flow of plastic material therein. The manifold is cooled and includes a first manifold section disposed within a channel formed at the upper surface of a second manifold section such that the interconnecting passage is formed by a first wall portion of the first manifold section and a second wall portion of a second manifold section within the channel. The first and second manifold sections are separable to permit access to the passage to permit cleaning thereof.

  • Patent number: 4159779
Abstract: A safety closure and container assembly including a container, cap and combined spring and sealing member. Retention nibs are formed on the inner surface of the skirt of the cap, and a spring and sealing member has a radially projecting flange that engages the retention nibs to prevent separation of the spring and sealing member from the cap. Cap and container locking elements are formed respectively on the inner surface of the skirt of the cap and the outer surface of the mouth of the container. The cap and container locking elements are engageable with and disengageable from each other by combined axial and rotary motion of the cap relative to the container. The spring and sealing member biases the cap and container locking elements toward locked engagement with each other when the cap is applied to the container.

  • Patent number: 3954324
Abstract: A pavement marker including a housing having a base for engagement with the surface of a roadway and a reflective wall for reflecting light from vehicles on the roadway when the fore-and-aft axis of the housing is disposed in parallel relationship with the direction of travel of vehicles on the roadway. The central portion of the reflective wall is formed with a plurality of conical reflector elements having relatively high optical efficiency for reflecting incident light rays on the outer surface of the reflective wall that are substantially in a horizontal plane parallel to the plane of the base and that are substantially parallel to the fore-and-aft axis of the housing, but having relatively low optical efficiency for reflecting light rays making a substantial acute angle with respect to the plane of the base or the fore-and-aft axis of the housing. Wide angle reflector elements are formed on side portions of the reflective wall projecting from opposite ends of the central portion.

  • Patent number: 3942630
Abstract: A sliding cover safety package including a container having a cover mounted thereon for slidable movement between open and closed positions with respect to the container. The container and cover are provided with locking lugs having a locked position when the cover is closed in which the cover is locked against movement from its closed position with respect to the container, and an unlocked position when the cover is closed in which the cover can slide with respect to the container to its open position. The locking lugs are movable between the locked and unlocked positions by axial movement of the cover with respect to the container. Resilient biasing members is engaged between the container and cover to bias the locking lugs to the locked position such that the cover can slide from its closed position with respect to the container only after axial movement of the cover with respect to the container against the biasing members.
