Abstract: A data management system stores data related to a plurality of users. The data management system initially stores the data in an encrypted format. The data management system automatically periodically re-encrypts the data in accordance with a re-encryption policy. The re-encryption policy includes re-encryption periodicity data defining a periodicity for automatically re-encrypting the data.

Abstract: Systems, methods and articles of manufacture for determining the relevancy of tax matters to a particular taxpayer and prioritizing the tax matters in a tax preparation system for preparing an electronic tax return. A computerized tax preparation system accesses taxpayer data and generates a taxpayer data profile using the taxpayer data. The system executes at tax logic agent which evaluates missing tax data required to prepare the tax return for the taxpayer and outputs a plurality of suggested tax matters for obtaining the missing tax data to a user interface manager. The tax logic agent utilizes the taxpayer data profile and a tax matter relevancy module having a plurality of tax data profiles to determine a relevancy ranking for each suggested tax matter. A user interface manager receives the suggested tax matters and the corresponding relevancy rankings and determines one or more tax questions to present to the user.

Abstract: Runtime computer software product management system including a computer database, an access control system and a composite model including an integrated entitlement-service state model with first state data specifying access to a subscription of a computer software product of a host and second state data specifying permissible actions involving the subscription based at least in part upon the first state data. The access control system is in communication with the computer database and generates grants for an accountant and client based on the entitlement-service state model and receives a request from the computer software product for the client to access the product. The access control system determines a grant status based at least in part upon the first grant status and the second grant status and responds to the request with the determined grant status which governs client access to the computer software product.

Abstract: Computerized methods, systems and computer program products for determining how an identity of a consumer can be verified during a transaction involving the consumer and a merchant. Embodiments access and analyze data of an account the consumer has with an online social network to derive a challenge question response options. The social-network based challenge question and response options are presented to the consumer, and the consumer's selection of certain response options is used to confirm that the consumer is the person named on a credit card or other payment instrument or that other identification or verification information should be requested by the merchant before completing the transaction.
Abstract: Systems of the present disclosure generate accurate training data for optical character recognition (OCR). Systems disclosed herein generates images of a text passage as displayed piecemeal in a user interface (UI) element rendered in a selected font type and size, determine accurate dimensions and locations of bounding boxes for each character pictured in the images, stitch together a training image by concatenating the images, and associate the training image, the bounding box dimensions and locations, and the text passage together in a collection of training data. The collection of training data also includes a computer-readable master copy of the text passage with newline characters inserted therein.

Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide an editing tool for domain-specific machine-readable objects. The editing tool identifies a domain-specific machine-readable object selected for editing. The object corresponds to a page included in a sequence of pages and is configured to adjust content for the page based on variables. One or more previous pages in the sequence are configured to solicit input to define the variables. The editing tool also identifies a scenario selected for previewing the page. The scenario includes values for the variables. Assets of the object reference the variables in expressions or other logic. The editing tool renders the object based on the scenario.

Abstract: A method and system generate customized financial document templates in a document preparation system, according to one embodiment. The method and system receive document data from a user corresponding to a document including a plurality of custom data fields in a custom template. The method and system map the custom data fields to system data fields from a relatively small subset of data fields selected from a system data field pool based on the characteristics of the user. The method and system generate a custom form template based on the document data and the mapping of the custom data fields to system data fields.
Abstract: A method to generate a regulatory filing workflow for a geographical region. The method includes displaying a regulatory filing form to a user in the geographical region, displaying a user attribute list identifying user attributes from the BMAs used by the user, receiving, from the user and in response to displaying the regulatory filing form and the user attribute list, a user input that specifies a rule for determining input data of the regulatory filing form based at least on user attributes, and generating, based at least on the user input, regulatory filing report metadata including a specification for generating a regulatory filing report by completing the regulatory filing form based at least on the rule, where the regulatory filing workflow includes generating and filing the regulatory filing report to satisfy the regulatory requirement specific to the geographical region.
