  • Patent number: 10794690
Abstract: An apparatus for laser profiling inspection includes a camera housing having a longitudinal axis and a substantially hemispherical viewing window positioned transversely relative to the longitudinal axis. A camera with a fisheye lens is positioned within the camera housing to capture images through the viewing window. A laser mounting is mounted to the viewing window with the laser mounting extending outwardly from the viewing window along the longitudinal axis of the housing. A laser is positioned at a remote end of the laser mounting. The laser projects a laser beam toward the camera. A mirror is supported by the laser mounting between the laser and the camera. The mirror is configured to reflect outwardly a laser beam from the laser to form a laser ring encircling the laser mounting.

  • Patent number: 10518800
Abstract: A magnetically adhering robot has a body and a first travelling assembly configured to move the body in a first direction. A second travelling assembly is provided which is configured to move the body in a second direction, orthogonal to the first direction. An elevator assembly is provided which moves the second travelling assembly between a raised position and a lowered position. In the lowered position, the second travelling assembly is lower than the first travelling assembly and solely supports the body. In the raised position, the second travelling assembly is above the first travelling assembly, with the first travelling assembly solely supporting the body. At least one magnetic assembly is provided for magnetically adhering the body to the surface.

  • Publication number: 20100098398
Abstract: A focus adjustment mechanism for a camera, includes a housing defining an interior cavity in which is positioned a helical track. A lens support is provided which supports a lens. The lens support is engaged with the helical track. Rotation of the lens support in a first rotational direction moves the lens support in a first axial direction along the helical track and rotation of the lens support in a second rotational direction moves the lens support in the second axial direction along the helical track. At least one magnet is fixed to the lens support. This construction permits an external magnetic force to be used to selectively cause rotation of the lens support to focus the lens.

  • Patent number: 5799743
Abstract: A sealed drive system for driving a drive wheel of a miniature vehicle includes a drive gear, a transfer gear and a driven gear mounted in an inside pocket, an outside pocket and a second inside pocket respectively formed in a first side plate. The transfer pocket is sealed via a gear cover closing the outside pocket, the first inside pocket is sealed to a housing in which a shaft mounting a drive gear is rotatably mounted and the second inside pocket is sealed to one side of the driven wheel. The driven wheel and driven gear are fixed together and are rotatably mounted on a shaft fixed at its axial ends to the first and a second side plate. The axial end of the driven wheel remote from the driven gear is sealed via a suitable seal.

  • Patent number: 5307911
Abstract: A two-way free-wheeling clutch is formed between a drive shaft and a driven shaft concentric with and encircling at least a portion of the drive shaft that is formed by axially extending substantially chord forming portions. The chord forming portions cooperate with circular bearings interposed between the portions and a circumferential surface of the encircling portion of the driven shaft to drive the driven shaft from the drive shaft. Drive of the driven shaft by the drive shaft is obtained by relatively positioning the bearings and the portions so the bearings are toward the radial extremities of their respective chord portions a driving wedge is formed with the inner circumferential surface of the driven shaft. When the portions and the bearings are shifted to relatively position the bearings closer to the centre of the chord forming portions i.e. minimum radial position on the chord free rotation of the driven shaft freewheeling of the driven shaft is permitted.
