Abstract: An electronic device for providing information related to an input telephone number includes a keyboard unit for providing an input telephone number and a memory unit for storing an IDDD code and a database including country code entries, country name entries which correspond to the country code entries, area code entries, area name entries which correspond to the country code entries, and information related to each of the country name and the area name entries. A central processing unit receives the input telephone number from the keyboard unit and compares the received input telephone number with the contents of the memory unit. The central processing unit then controls a display unit to show the input telephone number, the country name entry and the area name entry corresponding to the input telephone number, and the information related to the country name entry and the area name entry corresponding to the input telephone number.

Abstract: An automatic telephone answering device which has multiple outgoing message sections for recording multiple outgoing messages. A selecting means is provided for selecting one outgoing message from multiple recorded outgoing messages to greet calling parties. A user can change the outgoing message easily by setting the selecting switch means instead of recording an entirely new outgoing message. The original outgoing message can be recovered instead of erased after switching to another outgoing message.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for programmably silencing a telephone ringer for one or more predetermined periods of time on a daily basis. In accordance with the time set by a user, the apparatus places the telephone ringer under the control of the data stored in the read only memory and the random access memory of the central processing unit, whereby the ringer can be automatically set at predetermined sounding condition.

Abstract: This invention provides a central processing unit having read only memory for storing permanently the firmware and random access memory for storing the protocol which can be changed by user via the keyboard when need, which also has a detector for counting the ring signal inputted from the line and sending it to the CPU. When the count of the ring signal and the interval between the hang-up and dial are all met, the protocol stored in the RAM of the CPU and the control device enabled by the CPU via the output terminal send the tone signal to the ring apparatus for signaling the user.

Abstract: An improved cassette tape recorder is provided for storing the time message, generated by the real time clock of the central processing unit, into a tape region between a first record and a second record immediately behind the time message so that it can be digitally displayed everytime it is necessary. The time message includes time data of year, month, day, week, hour, minute and second, etc.

Abstract: Described herein is a circulatory operation for entering information into a memory of a telephone device. The operation consists of alphabetical and numeric co-characters, which may be selectively entered into a memory by successively pressing a single key to select the proper character. Each key is associated with a counter connected with a decoder for providing an output to enable the key. A pair of latches coupled with the keys and a control device acts to temporarily latch the keyed input data information for output thereof. A frequency generating device is also connected to the counter to provide a key scanning signal. Memory device coupled with an enabling key through a flip/flop circuit are used to store the keyed input data information and provide a key code therefrom. A comparator is also included between the latches and memory device for comparing input data information from the latches and outputting the compared key information therefrom.

Abstract: A hot-line device for telephone sets includes a logic AND gate circuit serving as a central unit with its output to be electrically connected to a control circuit through the keyboard of a telephone set, and its inputs respectively coupled with a hot-line triggering circuit, a dial-tone detection circuit and a ringing detection and delay circuit separately disposed in the telephone set for automatically effecting dialing operation during an emergency situation. Alternatively, the logic AND gate circuit can be replaced with a microprocessor for performing automatic dialing operation through a predetermined program.

Abstract: A switching control apparatus for intercom-telephone sets includes a switching control circuit and a surge protection circuit electrically coupled with a talking circuit for increasing the reliability of the intercom-telephone operation, reducing the cost of manufacturing the product and protecting the intercom-telephone sets against high voltage surges which may damage the intercom-telephone sets during electrical storms.

Abstract: An automatic telephone silencer and volume controller having a microprocessor for storing time and volume information and for timely controlling the sound characteristics of a telephone ringer in accordance with the time and volume information stored. The time and volume information may be entered into the microprocessor by a suitable keyboard. Each time entry has associated with it a volume entry so that the telephone will ring at the prescribed volume from that time until the time denoted by the next time entry.
