  • Patent number: 10306411
Abstract: During an evacuation situation in a building that is equipped with an elevator system and in which a plurality of fixed point markers are arranged at defined sites, an escape route is transmitted to a person by means of a mobile device. The fixed point markers store data that can be received by the mobile device. An instantaneous position of the mobile device can be determined when the mobile device uses data received from a fixed point marker to access a database in which the data is linked to a site of the fixed point marker. The ascertainment of the escape route to a destination is based on the instantaneous position of the mobile device. The person is registered on reaching the destination when the mobile device is detected at the destination.

  • Patent number: 10294080
Abstract: A device serves for determining the speed of a passenger-transporting system. The device includes an arrangement of auxiliary elements and a sensing device. The arrangement of the auxiliary elements rotates, in a manner corresponding to a movement of the passenger-transporting system. The sensing device can sense whether an auxiliary element is, or is not, located at a certain sensing location. The auxiliary elements are of a first configuration type and a second configuration type. The sensing device can sense whether an auxiliary element is of the first configuration type or of the second configuration type. Furthermore, the sensing device can assign an auxiliary element of the first configuration type and an auxiliary element of the second configuration type to one another such that the direction of rotation can be determined from the order in which the auxiliary elements are sensed.

  • Patent number: 10275968
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for providing a visitor controlled access into a building. Initially, entrance identification information is provided to a mobile device of the visitor when the mobile device is in close proximity of an entrance of the building. The mobile device then sends the entrance identification information to a remote server. In response the server sends hack a list of residents of the building to the mobile device based on the entrance identification information, and the mobile device presents the list of residents to the visitor. The visitor then selects a resident from the list, and subsequently a link is established between the mobile device and a remote device associated with the selected resident. Finally, access grant information is provided to an access control means adapted to control access of the visitor into the building via the entrance.

  • Patent number: 10255735
Abstract: A system for the controlling of entrances comprises a plurality of access control units, wherein each entrance is allocated an access control unit with a data acquisition device assigned to it. The access control units are coupled to a control device via a network. An error signal is detected in the system which indicates that a first data acquisition device at a first entrance is not ready for operation and is unable to capture authorization data of a person wishing to gain access at the first entrance. A data signal is produced by a second data acquisition device at a second entrance, when the second data acquisition device captures the authorization data of the person wishing to gain access at the first entrance. In the system an activation signal is sent to the access control unit at the first entrance, in order to release the first entrance and grant the person access.

  • Publication number: 20190002239
Abstract: A method for monitoring a safety circuit and a monitoring device for a safety circuit of an elevator system are based on a monitoring device for a supply voltage of a series connection of switches for monitoring the safety of devices serving the elevator operation. Safety relays are connected to the end of the series connection, which relays generate signals for an elevator controller according to the switching state of the switches. The supply voltage is set such that the voltage is constant across the relays. Since there is an upper limit value to the supply voltage available from the voltage source, the supply voltage is monitored and an error notification is generated when an upper limit value is reached. In order to permit high levels of availability of the elevator system, at least one further parameter of a curve of the supply voltage is determined and evaluated.
