Patent number: 11295595Abstract: An emergency alert system is described. The emergency alert system comprises at least one alert device; a control module connected to the alert device for managing the emergency alert system 5 through radio frequency communications over a radio link; and a portable remote-control unit for sending a signal to the control module, via the radio link, upon a user activating the remote-control unit to trigger an emergency alert using the alert device, wherein the control module is used to determine a physical location of the portable remote-control unit via the radio link in the event of the emergency alert being triggered.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2020Date of Patent: April 5, 2022Assignee: Inventis Technology Pty LimitedInventor: Joel Stephen Murray

Patent number: 10974415Abstract: The proposed solution solves a problem of designing a machine for producing molded composite parts that are homogeneously structured and the problem of finding a method for producing composite for implants. The essence of the design of the machine consists in that it has a portioning assembly, whereby above a mold form unit (14) there is a guiding unit (11) located opposite a dosing unit (6) and above the aforementioned guiding unit (11) there is a pressing assembly (20) slidingly mounted on a vertical frame (19) and which is equipped with at least one piston rod (25) with a rammer (27) at its end. A preliminary molding is being performed by thoroughly filling a preform trough and then the matter is being pushed out of the preform trough in portions and then each portion is rammed separately until consistency containing less than 15% air is achieved.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2019Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: MEDICAL INVENTI Spólka AkcyjnaInventors: Józef Kuczmaszewski, Kamil Anasiewicz, Maciej Wlodarczyk, Tomasz Warda, Anna Belcarz, Grażyna Ginalska

Patent number: 8940072Abstract: A parallel passage fluid contactor structure for chemical reaction processes has one or more segments, where each segment has a plurality of substantially parallel fluid flow passages oriented in an axial direction; cell walls between each adjacent fluid flow passages and each cell wall has at least two opposite cell wall surfaces. The structure also includes at least one active compound in the cell walls and multiple axially continuous conductive filaments either embedded within the cell walls or situated between the cell wall surfaces. The conductive filaments are at least one of thermally and electrically conductive, are oriented in axially, and are in direct contact with the active compound, and are operable to transfer thermal energy between the active material and the conductive filaments. Heating of the conductive filaments may be used to transfer heat to the active material in the cell walls. Methods of manufacturing the structure are discussed.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2010Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: Inventys Thermal Technologies Inc.Inventors: Andre Boulet, Soheil Khiavi

Patent number: 8900347Abstract: A method of temperature swing adsorption allows separation of a first fluid component from a fluid mixture comprising at least the first fluid component in an adsorptive separation system having a parallel passage adsorbent contactor with parallel flow passages having cell walls which include an adsorbent material and axial thermally conductive filaments in direct contact with the adsorbent material. The method provides for transferring heat from the heat of adsorption in a countercurrent direction along at least a portion of the filaments during adsorption and transferring heat in either axial direction along the filaments to provide at least a portion of the heat of desorption during a desorption step. A carbon dioxide TSA separation process to separate carbon dioxide from flue gas also includes steps transferring heat from adsorption or for desorption along axial thermally conductive filaments.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2011Date of Patent: December 2, 2014Assignee: Inventys Thermal Technologies Inc.Inventors: Andre Boulet, Soheil Khiavi

Patent number: 6517071Abstract: A two-dimensional jigsaw puzzle including a plurality of pieces, each of the pieces having a main body made of a foam with memory. Each main body has a layer of glue extending thereover and a flexible sheet adhesively bonded thereto. The flexible sheet bears a portion of a picture of the puzzle and the main bodies of the pieces have complementary interlocking joints for detachably assembling the pieces to one another to form the picture of the puzzle. Each of the main bodies has a peripheral side surface with predetermined thickness such that, when the pieces are assembled to one another, the interlocking joints substantially hold the pieces together by friction contact between the peripheral side surfaces of the main bodies. The glue is of a type which remains substantially flexible after setting thereof. As a result of the above-mentioned, the two-dimensional jigsaw puzzle is capable of being bent without any of its pieces detaching themselves from the puzzle.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2001Date of Patent: February 11, 2003Assignee: Inventi Limited PartnershipInventor: Paul Gallant
