Abstract: A headset and/or a hearing protection device comprises a waterproof speaker assembly. The waterproof speaker assembly comprises a speaker unit, a waterproof speaker housing, and a waterproof pressure equalization element. The speaker unit includes a transducer configured to generate an audio frequency signal. The waterproof speaker housing is configured to receive and sealably enclose, in part or in full, the speaker unit in an interior or a cavity of the waterproof speaker housing. The waterproof pressure equalization element is permeable to air. The waterproof speaker housing is configured to receive and/or support the waterproof pressure equalization element. The waterproof pressure equalization element is configured to equalize surrounding or ambient pressure changes from the interior or cavity of the waterproof speaker housing.

Abstract: A cushion configured to be secured to an ear cup of a headset and/or hearing protection device. The cushion defines an inner opening and includes a contact surface along a periphery proximal part of the cushion. The contact surface is configured to abut against and contact a user's head around an ear of the user when the headset and/or hearing protection device is worn by the user. The contact surface of the cushion has a predetermined height profile where respective height values of the predetermined height profile at multiple locations of the contact surface vary about a center or center point of the cushion. The locations are located nearest or towards the inner opening, and a first height of the predetermined height profile is a globally largest height. The first height is located in an upper front-facing part of the cushion.

Abstract: An audio device for receiving radio communication. The audio device is configured to receive radio communication as a received radio signal. The audio device includes a hear-through element configured to provide a hear-through signal to a user in response to a received ambient sound signal, and an adaptive auto-gain element configured to perform an auto-gain function of the received radio signal according to an adaptive gain value resulting in a modified radio signal, and to set the adaptive target level for the auto-gain function in response to the hear-through signal.
