Abstract: A lens cassette for a lens injector includes a tubular body and a piston mobile in the tubular body to move forward a lens towards an injection cannula. The device includes a housing (30, 31) for an intraocular lens (10), an inserting zone (33) for the piston, and outlet zone (35) for the lens and its own closure element (25, 26) for enclosing the lens. The cassette is made of a material enabling sterilization of the lens enclosed in the cassette, while providing a prolonged shelf life. The cassette assembly with the lens and the injector can be sterilized in a sealed flask by gamma radiation.

Abstract: The invention concerns an implant forming an intraocular lens comprising a central optical part, a globally circular outline, at least partly made of a flexible material and a haptic part, at said optical part periphery, made at least partially of a rigid material. Said implant has a single-piece structure. The implant rigid material is a shape modified by at least one process selected among chemical reactions and polymerisation reactions of the starting flexible material, for example based on PMMA-PHMA, cross-linked by adding a multifunctional agent such as diethyleneglycol dimethacrylate.
Abstract: A glaucoma drain for non-penetrating deep sclerotorny is made of non-resorbable and hydrophilic synthetic material. The drain is configured to be entirely covered by the scleral flap and totally inserted in the intrascleral space. It comprises a transverse bar (110) at one front end of the drain and a longitudinal body (120) extending longitudinally from said transverse bar. The transverse bar (110, 10) is configured to run along and cover the Schlemm's canal (CS) and the opposite ends are configured to penetrate beneath the deep sclera inside the Sclernm's canal. A hole (125) between the arms of the bar provides a target for possible YAG laser micro-punctures.
Abstract: A pre-crystalline intraocular implant adapted to be implanted between the front face of the crystalline lens and the iris. It comprises an optical part (31) and a haptic part. The haptic part comprises a haptic ring (32) surrounding the optical part (31), a peripheral band (34) and branches (33) linking the haptic ring (32) and the peripheral band (34). The rear face of the implant comprises a central portion with spherical surface having a first radius, a second annular spherical portion having a radius greater that the first radius and a third concentric portion with spherical surface having a radius greater than the second radius. The invention is useful for correcting ametropia of a phakic eye.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intra-ocular lens that is made from hydrophilic polymer. An effective amount of medicine is dispersed in the mass of the of the polymer and when implanted in the eye of a subject, the lens releases the medicine into the intra-ocular tissues so that the medicine is in the vicinity of the site where action is needed.
