Abstract: A system and method are provided for operating a call order center, comprising: obtaining voice training data for a call center service representative (CCSR) for phrases associated with an ordering process or products associated with the call order center; receiving customer call for an order by the CCSR on a telephone; activating a voice recognition system that accesses the CCSR voice training data via a switch; during a telephone call, issuing commands and providing data by the CCSR associated with the order to the voice recognition system that are translated and entered into an ordering system by the voice recognition system; and deactivating the voice recognition system via the switch. A role can be assigned to or deassigned from an employee based on their location relative to a particular location point within a work area.

Abstract: A method for entering secure data at an input device includes displaying a graphical input region having input elements, such as a number keypad, and receiving selections of the input elements via a display selection device, such as a mouse or touch screen. An attribute of the displayed graphical input region is changed so that inputs by the display selection device change for the same data input. Examples include changing the position, size and/or layout of the input elements and/or graphical input region. The graphical input elements may instead be provided with two characters so that typing one character results in input of the corresponding character, and then changing the association of the characters on the displayed input elements.

Abstract: A system and appertaining methods are provided that makes it possible to order pizza and other products using an instant messaging or other signaling mechanisms such as cell-phones and two-way pagers, using a tokenized representation of the order elements. Signaling mechanisms provide context sensitive help to facilitate the use of the tokens, and a system then processes the order to the end point system for immediate preparation and/or delivery of the products. Communications may be implemented by a system in which a non-secure channel is used to poll a central server to determine if there is any data available, and the actual data transmission, if available, is provided over a secure channel.

Abstract: A method provides for placing and executing electronic commercial transactions via the Internet with the aid of a vendor computer to generate a transaction ID that is subsequently transmitted by a customer to the vendor. The transaction includes the vendor's network address, and parameters associated with preconfigured commercial transaction. Transaction codes can be stored by the customers computer as icons, and/or web browser bookmarks. The transaction code is received by the vendor, and the desired preconfigured commercial transaction is identified. The identified transaction is then automatically executed.

Abstract: A display accessory for use with a video monitor capable of displaying representations of portions of pizzas of different size which may be ordered by a customer where the representation is displayed true-to-size. Indicia comprising a plurality of concentric shapes is disposed on the display panel corresponding to the sizes of different pizzas available for order. The display panel is attached to the video monitor so that displayed representations of portions of pizza align with at least one concentric shape providing to the customer an indication of the actual size of the pizza.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for designating toppings to be assembled on a pizza as well as their respective position on the pizza wherein an order entry terminal is provided for a customer to use to specify an order for a pizza, the terminal being connected to a point-of-sale system and includes a display screen, voice synthesis generator, microphone, speaker, voice recognition processor capable of detecting the customer's spoken words and microprocessor controller. The customer is prompted to enter an order by speaking words in a human voice and in turn an image of the pizza ordered is displayed to permit the customer to confirm the accuracy and submit the order into a point-of-sale system.

Abstract: A method and user interface for designating toppings to be assembled on a pizza as well as their respective position on the pizza is disclosed. The user interface presents a plurality of three part buttons associated with the available topping with the three parts of each button corresponding to the left half, right half and entire surface of the pizza. The method includes the steps of pressing part of a button to select the topping and the quantity to be applied to the left half, right half, or entire surface of the pizza and highlighting a portion of the button to indicate which portion of the pizza was designated to receive the topping and in what quantity.
