    Abstract: A pick-resistant pin tumbler lock having a first stage in which the pins may move but the plug cannot rotate, and a second stage in which the plug may rotate but the pins cannot move. Pin movement inhibitors prevent further movement of the pins once sufficient rearward force is applied to the lock, and a rotation inhibitor prevents rotation of the plug until after the sufficient rearward force is applied.
