Patents Assigned to Ironees Company
  • Patent number: 4484400
Abstract: A fabric which is coated on at least its upper exposed surface with a heat-reflective and heat-retentive metallic coating containing from about 85% to about 99% copper. The copper is coated with a non-metallic material such as a silicate or silicon oxide. The fabric of the invention is particularly useful in covers for ironing boards, pressing machines and the like, but is useful in any application which calls for a heat-reflective, heat-retentive, flexible, porous metallized fabric.

  • Patent number: 4043062
Abstract: An ironing pad which is substantially smaller than a standard ironing board is adapted to be placed on top of a table or other support surface for ironing. The upper surface of the pad is comprised of a heat resistant fabric. This fabric is adhesively bonded to a layer of a heat resistant foam padding. The lower surface of the pad is comprised of a layer of skid resistant material and a layer of metal foil separates the foam padding from the skid resistant layer. The metal foil prevents heat and moisture from the iron from penetrating the pad and damaging the tabletop on which the pad is placed.
