  • Patent number: 10838726
Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for accessing redundant columns of data in a memory device. To facilitate scaling of a memory device and reduce a clock rate used to access latches of the redundant columns in program and read operations, one or more first-in, first out (FIFO) buffers are provided to output data to, and receive data from, the latches. The FIFO buffers act as an interface between a controller and the latches, and exchange data with the controller at a relatively high clock rate, and exchange data with the latches of the redundant columns at a slower clock rate. During a read operation, the FIFO can prefetch read data from one or more columns and store it until it is needed to replace the data of a defective primary column.

  • Patent number: 10836280
Abstract: A seatback for a vehicle comprises: a lid having a closed position preventing access to a storage area and an open position allowing access to the storage area; and a locking element having an engaged position that prevents the lid from transitioning from the closed position to the open position and a disengaged position that does not prevent the lid from transitioning from the closed position to the open position; wherein, the locking element transitions from the disengaged position to the engaged position via the force of gravity when the seatback transitions from a fold down position to an upright position, and transitions from the engaged position to the disengaged position when the seatback transitions from the upright position to fold down position. The lid can pivot upward from a rearward portion of the seatback in the fold down position, as the lid transitions to the open position.

  • Patent number: 10835325
Abstract: A computer-assisted imaging and localization system assists the physician in positioning implants and instruments into a patient's body. The system displays overlapping images—one image of the surgical site with the patient's anatomy and another image showing the implant(s) or instrument(s). The overlapping image of the implant/instrument is moved over the static image of the anatomy as the implant/instrument is moved. These moving image of the implant/instrument can be an unaltered image or an image altered to intensify or mitigate the anatomical or non-anatomical aspects of the moving image. Sliding these images over one another helps the surgeon in positioning devices or instruments with a high degree of accuracy and with a limited number of additional x-rays.

  • Patent number: 10841764
Abstract: A system includes a processor configured to receive a vehicle event and determine a wireless device present connection state relative to a vehicle infotainment system. The processor is further configured to communicate with a remote server through a vehicle modem, including transmission of the wireless device present connection state, based on the occurrence of the vehicle event. The processor may also be configured to request that the remote server instruct a wireless device to pair with a vehicle infotainment system if the wireless device present connection state indicates the wireless device is not presently paired.

  • Patent number: 10839842
Abstract: A data storage drive includes a servo loop for positioning a head over a disc. The servo loop includes a sensor, located in the head, that senses servo information located on the disc and produces a servo signal therefrom. The servo signal is combined with a reference signal to produce a raw position error signal (PES). The servo loop further also at least one phase-matching disturbance attenuation (PMDA) filter that receives the raw PES as an input and responsively outputs a vibration-cancellation signal, which, when combined with the raw PES, cancels vibration-induced disturbance from the raw PES, thereby producing a refined PES. A servo controller receives the refined PES and responsively produces a servo control signal. An actuator moves the head in response to receiving the servo control signal.
