Abstract: Apparatus for cleaning a horizontally extending floor surface. In some embodiments, a flat surface cleaning machine has an inverted cup-shaped deck and a swivel coupled to a source of pressurized liquid such as water. A rotatable spray bar assembly extends from the swivel and includes an elongated hub member, an arm member threadingly coupled to the hub member, and a nozzle threadingly coupled to the arm member. Shoulder limit surfaces set the rotational position of the arm member relative to the hub member to position the nozzle at a desired operational angle such as from 5-30 degrees. Interior channels along the hub and arm members are shaped to efficiently convey the pressurized fluid to the nozzle. Multiple hub and arm members may form a T, X, Y or star-shaped pattern. The spray bar has an aerodynamically shaped outer surface profile to reduce weight, vibration and turbulence during operation.
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for providing carbon dioxide direct air capture (DAC) systems to improve energy efficiency, operability, and economic performance of DAC technologies based on several types of approaches including temperature swing adsorption (TSA), pressure swing adsorption (PSA), and moisture swing adsorption (MSA) are disclosed. In particular, DAC apparatuses including a first water extraction unit, a process unit comprising a second water extraction unit, a carbon dioxide capture unit, and a water release unit are disclosed. The present disclosure also provides a logic control system for a preconditioner for the proposed DAC apparatus, including a controller, and one or more control elements in communication with the fluid streams, where the controller is configured to adjust temperature, water content, or combination thereof of the second fluid stream, third fluid stream, or both to pre-determined ranges based on the cost to capture carbon dioxide on a net removal basis.

Abstract: An industrial cleaning machine for cleaning parts, in particular spray guns and accessories thereof, including a cleaning chamber for receiving parts, and a pneumatically operated cleaning system capable of subjecting the parts to a cleaning operation using a cleaning liquid. The cleaning system includes at least one pneumatically actuated pump that is operated by compressed air supplied to the cleaning machine to pump and supply the cleaning liquid from a container. The cleaning machine integrates a control device configured to monitor and control operation of the cleaning machine and to operate autonomously on power provided by a battery. The control device is configured to gather status information relating to operation of the cleaning machine and communicate the status information to a remote server. The control device includes an air circuit configured to be coupled to an air compressor to control supply of the compressed air to the pneumatically actuated pump.
Abstract: A method for recovering power during gas separation, the method including separating a mixed gas stream into a hydrogen-rich stream and a secondary stream; and expanding the secondary stream after the separating or expanding the mixed gas stream prior to the separating to recover power. The method may include using a membrane to separate the mixed gas stream into the hydrogen-rich stream and the secondary stream; and expanding the secondary stream.

Abstract: Apparatus and processes for controlling a reverse osmosis system for water desalination to reduce energy consumption. The system has a controller configured to receive information from the sensor array and determine a fouling parameter for each reverse-osmosis stage based on one or more of: an A-Value, a B-value and a normalized differential pressure. The controller is then configured to control the flow through each of the reverse-osmosis assemblies based on the determined fouling parameters to meet a predetermined criterion for total permeate production for the reverse-osmosis system.

Abstract: A method of assembling a cover to a housing of a pump includes roll-forming a noncircular lip by rotating a roll-forming tool about a longitudinal axis. The roll-forming tool includes first and second rollers engaging the noncircular lip. The method includes applying a load to the noncircular lip, the load being applied parallel to a longitudinal axis, and continuing rotating the roll-forming tool about the longitudinal axis. The longitudinal axis remains in a fixed position. Rotating the roll-forming tool causes the first and second rollers to concurrently operably engage the noncircular lip, deform the noncircular lip, and assemble the cover to the housing.

Abstract: A preparation method of copper foam includes coating copper paste on a release film to form a coating sheet with a thickness of 50-200 ?m on the release film, peeling off the release film to obtain a copper foam preform after drying the release film with the coating sheet, and performing a glue discharging process on the copper foam preform and sintering the copper foam preform to obtain the copper foam having a thickness of 30-120 ?m and having a porosity of 50-80%. The thickness of the copper foam is reduced, which ensures a balance between the porosity and a structural strength of the copper foam, so the copper foam has a good water absorption performance, and a heat dissipation performance of the copper foam is effectively improved.

Abstract: A robotic surgical system includes an instrument cart having a setup arm assembly and a control drive assembly coupled to the setup arm assembly.
