  • Patent number: 7585703
Abstract: There is provided a method for selectively transferring pixel control devices onto a planar display substrate, which method enables prepared pixel control devices to be easily, reliably and inexpensively mounted without inducing any loss of pixel control devices. The pixel control devices (1) are formed in a large number at pitches (5, 6) obtained respectively by dividing pitches (105, 106) on the planar display substrate (100) by natural numbers. The pixel control devices corresponding to the number of the pitches (105, 106) on the planar display substrate (100) are picked up, retained on a transparent thermoplastic resin film (101) formed on the planar display substrate (100) utilizing the plastic deformation of the film and fixed at the peripheries thereof with a transparent ultraviolet curing resin film (104).

  • Patent number: 5535750
Abstract: An ultrasonic signal is transmitted to a heel bone or patella of a person being examined to obtain data of velocity of transmission propagation. The data which is obtained is computerized through calculation to compute a two-dimensional ratio of a compact bone to a bone structure (Au) from a one-dimensional ratio of a compact bone to a bone structure (Eu). Then, a chart is drawn to suffice an Au for which a fractal geometry is utilized to compare the chart with an image of an Au of a healthy person who is under the same condition in sex and age. The portions different from each other are then sorted by color for evaluating the progress of osteoporosis.

  • Patent number: 5487413
Abstract: A loom is slowly operated in reverse rotation to move the loom to a position where a cutter is able to easily cut an improper weft when there occurs an error in the picking motion. Then, the loom is operated in normal rotation to move it to a position where the improper weft remaining in the shedding motion can be easily removed. A pick finding device is then operated to temporarily separate a main shaft and the shedding motion, and a harness frame is reversely rotated for 360.degree.. A new weft is then inserted after the improper weft is removed from the shedding motion. In the course of the operation, a cloth fell is held at a fixed position to protect the cloth fell from being beaten by a reed. The take-up motion is then operated in normal rotation, and at the same time the let-off motion is rotated in the reverse direction at a fixed rotational ratio to provide a warp with proper tension.

  • Patent number: 5085045
Abstract: A double twist spindle apparatus is arranged to wind two lines of first-twisted component yarns after arranging them in order and performing second twisting operation. A take-up bobbin which winds the first-twisted component yarns is rotated by skin frictional drive of a driving roller wherein a yarn winding speed is kept constant even if winding diameter is increased. A hollow spindle and a driving roller are independently driven by separate driving sources. Accordingly, the relation between rotating speed of the hollow spindle and winding speed of the take-up bobbin can be simply changed by regulating the rotational ratio of the two driving sources.

  • Patent number: 5046532
Abstract: An improper weft removing device for an air jet loom is capable of precisely measuring the length of the improper weft and judging whether the whole of the improper weft has been discharged or a cut piece of the improper weft is left in the open shed of the warps at the time of discharging the improper weft. The device includes a sensor for detecting the passage of the improper weft, a controller for measuring the length of the improper weft according to a signal outputted from the sensor, a nozzle for blowing pressurized air against the end portion of the improper weft thereby controlling the running attitude of the end portion of the improper weft, and a discharge nozzle for delivering the improper weft on an air stream to a discharge dust box, wherein the blowing pressure of the discharge nozzle can be controlled.
