Abstract: A shroud segment is incorporated in a gas turbine engine so as to suppress influence of hot combustion gas on a turbine case which has a groove and a hook for engagement with the shroud segment. The shroud segment is provided with a back plate formed in an arc shape, a front end of the back plate being supported by the groove so as to allow displacement in an axial direction of the gas turbine engine, a slot circumferentially formed on an outer surface of the back plate, the slot being engaged with the hook so as to be immovable in the axial direction and a touching member integrally formed on an inner surface of the back plate for touching with a rotating turbine blade. The slot is configured so as to satisfy an inequality of v<t?(v+0.1 mm), where v is a length of the hook and t is a width of the slot.

Abstract: A method for determining a shape of a shift roll for a rolling mill, includes the steps of determining a necessary control amount distribution ?i for a plate crown with respect to plate widths, based on a distribution of the number of plates rolled by a target rolling mill with respect to plate widths, and providing a maximum radius difference yA0 of the shift roll. The method further includes the steps of preliminarily determining a line yi of a roll radius distribution with respect to plate widths, based on the necessary control amount distribution ?i and the maximum radius difference yA0, shifting the line yi of the roll radius distribution by a maximum roll shift to obtain a distribution ?yBi of a roll gap change amount with respect to plate widths under the maximum roll shift, and smoothing sharp local changing part of the distribution ?yBi of the roll gap change amount.

Abstract: Anticorrosive coating is formed cheaply and in a short period, which facilitates its general application to marine steel structures. A steel caisson 1 is used as a cathode, an undersea member 3 arranged in seawater and opposed to the steel caisson 1 is used as anode. Direct current is passed between the electrodes so that anticorrosive coating 8 is formed on the steel caisson 1 through electrolytic reaction of the seawater, thereby attaining anticorrosion. The electric current is passed between the electrodes such that coating 7 with magnesium hydrate as dominant constituent is formed on the steel caisson 1 to have a predetermined thickness; then, supply of the electric current is stopped. Thus, anticorrosive coating 8 is formed through compositional substitution effect of substituting calcium carbonate for the magnesium hydrate in the presence of seawater.
