Abstract: An apparatus and method that can be used for marketing and advertising during the system check of a computer, which is one of the busiest periods that the computer or computer type device has, which occurs just before the computer or computer type device initializes its operating system and after power up. The methodology is to run various forms of advertisements/commercials while the computer or computer type device is busy. The present method calls for the advertisements/commercials to run during the time window when the system check is normally displayed at a very rapid pace, and prior to the operating system attempting to engage and run the computing device. While the system check is occurring the present invention calls for advertisements/commercials to run in the foreground covering, if not all, a portion of the monitor screen.
Abstract: A portable, self-contained security system for protecting an object external to the system, the system comprising one or more sensors and one or more alarms to draw attention to the unit if the sensors are activated.
Abstract: An improvement is provided to a pressurized close-cycle machine that has a cold-end pressure vessel and is of the type having a piston undergoing reciprocating linear motion within a cylinder containing a working fluid heated by conduction through a heater head by heat from an external thermal source. The improvement includes a heat exchanger for cooling the working fluid, where the heat exchanger is disposed within the cold-end pressure vessel. The heater head may be directly coupled to the cold-end pressure vessel by welding or other methods. A coolant tube is used to convey coolant through the heat exchanger.

Abstract: An exchange platform facilitates the transaction of goods and/or services in a local area. The exchange platform allows sellers to create sale postings for goods or services, and potential buyers to review the sale postings. Once transaction fees are paid, contact information is provided so that the buyer and seller can meet to exchange the goods or services for payment. The transaction fees can be paid using credits that are earned by viewing sponsor advertisements.
Abstract: A device and method for equalizing the pressure between work-space and crankcase in a pressurized engine, such as a Stirling engine. The device consists of a two-way valve connected between the work-space and the crankcase. The valve is connected to the work-space with a passageway including a constriction to provide an mean pressure for monitoring purposes. The valve connects the work-space and crankcase allowing the pressure to equalize when the mean pressure of the work-space exceeds the crankcase pressure by a predetermined amount.
