Abstract: A gardening stool that allows for tilting and pivoting is provided. The gardening stool has an elongated base connected to a seat by a post. The elongated base is convex and is tapered towards the front for pivoting. The base may include a flattened region located toward the rear of the post for stability. The base may further include compartments for holding tools.
Abstract: The invention relates to an immunoassays, binding assays, solid phase substrates (12) and other devices with an antigen or antibody or ligand or receptor (11) embedded into a solid phase substrate (12). The antigen or antibody is mixed with a molten thermoplastic and formed into the solid phase substrate (12).
Abstract: Data elements denoting military and federal systems, platforms and units symbolically as derived from structured military message codes (field unit identifiers, field unit designators) that correlate directly to geospatial symbology as processed by commercial forms engines with underlying message parsing processes provide the capability to display situational understanding information/symbols (1) vice a geographic area of interest shown as basic geometric shapes as in the Common Alert Protocol CAP final release dated 1 Apr. 2004. TCP/IP's universally available heartbeat mechanisms provide a common and consistent send to/get from plus timing/trigger functions for data harvesting and distribution (2). Modifying the CAP or creating child domain specific schemas provide the basis of a international 911 service available on a subscription basis say to neighborhood watch programs and the like that are equipped with GPS smart phones, handhelds, laptops and like devices (3).
Abstract: A regenerator for a thermal cycle engine and methods for its manufacture. The regenerator has a random network of fibers formed to fill a specified volume and a material for cross-linking the fibers at points of close contact between fibers of the network. A method for manufacturing a regenerator has steps of providing a length of knitted metal tape and wrapping a plurality of layers of the tape in an annular spiral.

Abstract: An external combustion engine having an exhaust flow diverter for directing the flow of an exhaust gas. The external combustion engine has a heater head having a plurality of heater tubes through which a working fluid is heated by conduction. The exhaust flow diverter is a cylinder disposed around the outside of the plurality of heater tubes and includes a plurality of openings through which the flow of exhaust gas may pas. The exhaust flow diverter directs the exhaust gas past the plurality of heater tubes. The external combustion engine may also include a plurality of flow diverter fins coupled to the plurality of heater tubes to direct the flow of the exhaust gas. The heater tubes may be U-shaped or helical coiled shaped.

Abstract: Compositions and methods are disclosed for preventing the oxidative corrosion of metal surfaces by exposing a metal surface to an anti-corrosion agent characterized as 2,4-trans, trans-hexadienoic acid (2,4-HDA), its alkali salt identified as potassium sorbate (KHDA), or other derivatives that conserve or embody the 2,4-trans, trans-hexadiene-type moiety present in their molecular structures as an active anti-corrosion agent (ACA), in combination with a material capable of forming a moisture retentive barrier over the metal surface.
The compositions and methods of the invention provide a practical, non-toxic way of ensuring anti-corrosion protection for metals, or devices containing exposed metals, stored or operated in water or in the presence of water vapor.

Abstract: An interocclusal appliance includes a maxillary impression preform of a resilient thermoplastic having a low softening temperature, e.g. 36° C., such as an EVA copolymer having approximately thirty percent vinyl acetate. The preform is molded over and unitarily bonded to a base having a planar bottom face contacted by mandibular occlusal surfaces. The base is formed of a thermoplastic having a higher softening temperature, e.g. 70° C., with the bond between the preform and base characterized by high shear strength. The preform includes a bight shaped centric relation positioning channel having a thick footing and draft along lingual, buccal and labial walls. The appliance is fitted by immersion in hot water to soften the preform, seating the maxillary arch within the channel and biting, such that the impression of the maxillary dentition embeds in the softened preform. Upon cooling, the preform is transformed into a reusable resilient encasement for the maxillary dentition.
Abstract: A vent assembly for a crawl space type vent opening in the foundation wall of a building has a front frame engaging the outer face of the wall around the opening, swappable venting plates for the front frame, and a rear frame engaging the inner face of the wall in the crawl space and connected under tension through the opening to the front frame. A first form of the vent can be installed axially into the vent opening from the outside of the building to replace an existing vent in a finished wall. A second form of the vent is installed vertically into the vent opening in the wall before the opening has been capped, as part of new construction.
Abstract: A toilet seat cover providing sanitary protection having side flaps and a front expansion fold. A toilet seat cover made of a paper material is oversized to cover a toilet seat. Side hand flaps extend below the toilet seat and permit easy grasping of the toilet seat by a user, especially children, in stabilizing or positioning on the toilet seat. A front expansion fold permits the toilet seat cover to accommodate different sized toilets. Adhesive material may also be placed on the bottom of the toilet seat cover to prevent slipping on a toilet seat. The toilet seat cover may be folded and packaged with a disinfectant wipe, providing a convenient package for carrying and use. The present invention is suitable for use by children and adults.
Abstract: A hydrotherapy jet system includes a fixture body, an air line connector coupled to the fixture body, and a water line connector coupled to the air line connector. The air line connector is provided with structure adapted to couple about the outside of relatively small fixture bodies and about the inside of relatively large fixture bodies. As such, the air line connector is universal for multiple sizes of fixture bodies. The water line connector is coupled to the rear of the air line connector. The air and water line connectors may be rotated relative to the element to which each is coupled to facilitate assembly and plumbing. Other plumbing components and fittings may be coupled in manner which provides a fluidtight seal and permits the components and fitting to thereafter be rotated relative to each other.
