Abstract: A method and apparatus for using unique landmarks to position industrial vehicles during start-up. In one embodiment, a method of using pre-positioned objects as landmarks to operate an industrial vehicle is provided. The method comprises identifying a start-up scenario from sensor data, wherein the start-up scenario comprises a unique marker start-up or a pre-positioned object start-up. in response to the identified start-up scenario, either a unique marker or pre-positioned object is identified within a physical environment, wherein the pre-positioned object or unique marker corresponds with a sub-area of the physical environment. The industrial vehicle pose is determined in response to the identity of the pre-positioned object or unique marker and the industrial vehicle is operated based on the determined industrial vehicle pose.

Abstract: An image encoding unit generates a video stream by encoding image data of each picture that constitutes moving image data. A transmission unit transmits a container in a predetermined format that continuously includes a first video stream and a second video stream generated in the image encoding unit. The first video stream and the second video stream are composed of first to Mth streams out of first to Nth streams (M?N). The transmission unit applies a fixed identifier to the respective first to Nth streams. The image encoding unit can prevent an occurrence of a display mute in a case of switching services.
Abstract: A method of determining pancreatic disease of the present invention is a method of determining whether an IPMN patient has pancreatic disease, the method including: a first step of measuring a concentration of S100P in duodenal juice of the IPMN patient; and a second step of determining the IPMN patient is a malignant IPMN patient or a pancreatic cancer patient when the concentration of the S100P is equal to or greater than a predetermined cutoff value, and the IPMN patient is a benign IPMN patient when the concentration of the S100P is smaller than the predetermined cutoff value.

Abstract: An imaging device includes an APD filter. In a case in which the APD filter is disposed on a light path of an incident ray, an imaging exposure is determined using a corrected diaphragm value (T number) obtained by correcting a diaphragm value on the basis of optical characteristics of the APD filter and an imaging diaphragm, which is determined during the determination of the imaging exposure, is set. After that, a search interval SD is determined using a diaphragm value (F number), which is not yet corrected, in a first range in which the diaphragm value is larger than a specific value EF, without using the corrected diaphragm value (T number), and the search interval SD is determined by using the specific value as the diaphragm value in a second range in which the diaphragm value is equal to or smaller than the specific value EF.
Abstract: A driving support apparatus installed in a host vehicle calculates an overlap ratio relating to a target object positioned ahead of the host vehicle within the same traffic lane, as the ratio of the width of the target object to its lateral distance from a lane marker line of the traffic lane, and also detects the motion condition of the object (i.e., stationary, moving towards, or in the same direction as the host vehicle, or moving laterally with respect to the forward direction of the host vehicle). An amount of compensation for retarding or advancing the commencement of a collision avoidance operation by the driving support apparatus is determined based on the overlap ratio and/or the motion condition of the target object.
Abstract: A tokenization system tokenizes sensitive data to prevent unauthorized entities from accessing the sensitive data. The tokenization system accesses sensitive data, and retrieves an initialization vector (IV) from an IV table using a first portion of the sensitive data. A second portion of the sensitive data is modified using the accessed initialization vector. A token table is selected from a set of token tables using a third portion of the sensitive data. The modified second portion of data is used to query the selected token table, and a token associated with the value of the modified second portion of data is accessed. The second portion of the sensitive data is replaced with the accessed token to form tokenized data.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for using bitmaps to indicate which items, in a set of items, are invalid. The bitmaps include an “active” bitmap and one or more “temporal clones”. The active bitmap indicates which items in the set are currently valid. The temporal clones are outdated versions of the active bitmap that indicate which items in the set were invalid at previously points in time. Temporal clones may not be very different from each other. Therefore, temporal clones may be efficiently compressed. For example, a bitmap may be selected as a “base bitmap”, and one or more other bitmaps are encoded using delta encoding. Run length encoding may then be applied to further compress the bitmap information. These bitmaps may then be used to determine which items are valid relative to past-version requests.

Abstract: An electrooptical apparatus includes a torsion hinge (torsion hinge) that has a first opening portion. Around the first opening portion, the opposite side of the torsion hinge to a substrate is in contact with a first connecting portion of a mirror support post that has a tubular shape. A resin that constitutes a sacrificial layer does not remain within the mirror support post. A second end portion of the mirror support post which is at a side opposite the substrate forms a flat plate portion. The second end portion is in contact with a mirror. Therefore, the surface of the mirror does not have any dimple.
Abstract: A camera having communication ability can switch a mode between a communication mode and a shooting mode. The camera combines features of a communication device and a digital camera. The camera comprises a communication device, an imaging device, and a switching device. The switching device switched the communication mode to the shooting mode responsive to completion of communication.

Abstract: A thickness of material may be detached from a substrate along a cleave plane, utilizing a cleaving process controlled by a releasable constraint plate. In some embodiments this constraint plate may comprise a plate that can couple side forces (the “P-plate”) and a thin, softer compliant layer (the “S-layer”) situated between the P-plate and the substrate. In certain embodiments a porous surface within the releasable constraint plate and in contact to the substrate, allows the constraint plate to be secured to the substrate via a first pressure differential. Application of a combination of a second pressure differential within a pre-existing cleaved portion, and a linear force to a side of the releasable constraint plate bound to the substrate, generates loading that results in controlled cleaving along the cleave plane.
Abstract: For a hybrid of proximity and identity similarity based deduplication in a data deduplication, comparing color intensity for additional classification enhancement of colored files grouped together by file coloring where a preferred character is represented for the file coloring using a code selected from a multiplicity of codes that represent a variety of contexts. The original meaning of the preferred character is retained when representing the preferred character for the file coloring by the code selected from the multiplicity of codes.
