Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a composition for promoting the production of type I collagen by human skin fibroblasts, and the present invention relates to a composition for promoting type I collagen production containing silybin and a peptide that promotes collagen production (peptide having an amino acid sequence of Gly-Pro-Hyp, Gly-His-Lys, Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser (SEQ ID NO: 1) or Gly-Glu-Pro-Arg (SEQ ID NO: 2).
Abstract: A trusted read and write platform provides write-indisputability and read-undeniability for a distributed application. The platform is implemented at each node of the distributed application using a trusted platform module. To provide write-indisputability, the read and write platform of a node may generate a proof that is signed by the platform module and sent with a purportedly written result. The proof is decrypted using a public key associated with the platform module and includes indicators of the process taken by the read and write platform to write the result. To provide read-undeniability, the read and write platform may bind a key to a state of the platform module. A result to be read at the read and write platform is encrypted using the key and can only be decrypted when the read and write platform updates its state to the bound state.
Abstract: A metal plate material hot molding apparatus is provided for press molding a heated metal plate material. The apparatus may include supply piping for a cooling medium in a mold, and ejection holes penetrating from a molding surface of the mold to the supply piping. The exemplary apparatus may also include discharge piping for the cooling medium situated in the mold, and discharge holes penetrating from the molding surface of the mold to the discharge piping, and cooling piping. Molding procedure can be performed while the cooling medium is ejected from the ejection holes to a gap between the metal plate material and the mold.
Abstract: Efficient encoding techniques are described for encoding resource allocation data to be signalled to a user device. In one encoding technique one or more frequency blocks are assigned to a user device and a plurality of resource blocks within the assigned frequency blocks are allocated to the user device. The assignment of frequency blocks and the resource block allocation are encoded separately and signalled to the user device. On receipt of the signalled information the user device interprets the frequency block assignment and uses this when interpreting the resource block allocation.

Abstract: A heat exchanger, such as a radiator, may transfer heat from a liquid and employ a first header tank, a second header tank, a plurality of tubes fluidly joining the first and second header tanks, and a baffle within one of the first or second header tanks. The baffle may be located in a header tank positioned substantially parallel or perpendicular to a surface upon which a vehicle employing the hear exchanger rests. The baffle may be a wall defining only one slot, a wall defining only one slot that is open through one side of the wall, a wall that defines a plurality of slots, or a wall that defines a plurality of holes. The heat exchanger may further employ fluidly isolated first and second tube and fin sections each defining a self-contained flow path for cooling different liquids. The baffle may slow coolant flow in a flow path.

Abstract: A dual-mode, dual-display shared resource computing (SRC) device is usable to stream SRC content from a host SRC device while in an on-line mode and maintain functionality with the content during an off-line mode. Such remote SRC devices can be used to maintain multiple user-specific caches and to back-up cached content for multi-device systems.
Abstract: A propulsion system with a divergent-convergent nozzle is provided with variable thrust by a pintle whose position relative to the nozzle throat is controlled by an actuator that includes a rotor that external to, and encircling, the nozzle, and that is coupled to either the pintle or to the nozzle shell by a linkage that translates the rotary movement of the rotor into linear movement of either the pintle or the shell.
Abstract: The fluid dynamic bearing device includes a housing, two bearing sleeves fixed to the housing at positions axially spaced apart from each other, and a shaft member inserted along inner peripheries of the bearing sleeves. The housing includes a spacer portion protruding further radially inwardly than inner peripheral surfaces to which the bearing sleeves are fixed. An axial fluid path is formed in the spacer portion, and the axial fluid path communicates to flow paths formed by axial grooves of the bearing sleeves.

Abstract: A circuit for monitoring the inductance value of a switching regulator is provided. The circuit includes an inductance sensor circuit that is coupled to a switch node of a switching regulator. The inductor sensor circuit includes a switch, a ramp circuit, and a comparison circuit. The switch is arranged to receive a switch control signal that is based, at least in part, on a switching signal of the switching regulator. When the switch control signal is asserted, the comparison circuit receives a comparison input voltage that is based, at least in part, on the inductance value of the switching regulator. The comparison circuit compares the comparison input voltage to a ramp voltage of the ramp circuit and outputs a signal indicative of whether the inductance value of the switching regulator is at or below a predetermined threshold inductance value.
Abstract: A lens moving frame according to an embodiment of the invention includes a holder portion. The holder portion includes: wall portions having guide holes formed therein; partition walls into which a guide bar is inserted and which are provided near the corresponding wall portions; and lubricant reservoir portions that are provided between the partition walls and the wall portions and have a lubricant filled and stored therein. The lubricant stored in the lubricant reservoir portion is adhered to the guide bar disposed between the partition wall and the wall portion. When the lens moving frame is moved along the guide bar, an extra lubricant is scraped off from the guide bar by the guide holes and opening portions of the partition walls and then stored in the lubricant reservoir portions.
Abstract: The Flexible Message Header (FMH) is a typed modular message structure comprising one or more Typed Container Modules (TCM)—stateful message modules with a compact header (Typed Container Header, TCH), a user definable payload (Typed Container Body, TCB), and a set of payload-specific callback to handle the lifecycle of the module at the different state such as creation, preparation, manipulation, resizing, transferring, and deletion. A single message comprises a small header with various numbers of TCMs. The integrity of the entire message is not affected by dynamically modifying, adding or removing TCM from the message. Major message content change can be achieved by either adding a TCM or swapping the TCM with different TCM. Minor message content change can be achieved by either modifying or expanding the TCM directly within the message. New features can be supported by adding new TCM and new code to process the new TCM.

Abstract: An in-vehicle handsfree apparatus establishes a handsfree profile connection with each of a first cellular phone and a second cellular phone at the same time. When the first cellular phone is under telephone call, the second cellular phone receives an incoming call. The in-vehicle handsfree apparatus receives from the second cellular phone a ring tone, which is previously registered in the second cellular phone. Herein, the in-vehicle handsfree apparatus does not output the ring tone registered in the second cellular phone. Instead, the in-vehicle handsfree apparatus generates a ring tone to thereby output it in addition to a reception sound received from the first cellular phone under the telephone call.
Abstract: Methods and systems for separating presentation and business models for common management platform tasks in a storage area network (SAN) are disclosed. A graphical user interface (GUI) object may be mapped to a task object, which include action(s) performed on a SAN. A selection of task objects from a collection of task objects is received, which are needed to implement the underlying functionality of a GUI object. The collection of task objects is part of a task framework. An arrangement of the task objects according to a hierarchy of the framework is received. The hierarchy includes simple task objects, corresponding to actions performed on a SAN, and composite task objects, corresponding to at least two simple task objects and may include other composite task objects. The arranged task objects are mapped to the GUI object by extending a presentation object to encapsulate the GUI object and the arranged task objects.
