The sequence controller transmits the register FIS corresponding to the ATA packet command to the device after the host has issued the ATAPI packet command.

    Abstract: A mechanism for managing multicast groups with send-without-receive (SWR) joiners without the use of traps on creation and deletion of groups is provided. Group information is maintained continuously while the SWR member exists. When an SWR join is attempted and the group does not already exist, the group information (MLID) is marked as used and the first switch to which the SWR packets are sent is routed to discard all packets sent to the group. When receiving members join the group, the routing is updated so that the SWR member begins sending to the receiving members. When the last receiving member leaves the group, the first switch is again routed to discard the packets.

    Abstract: A communications system and protocol are described for wirelessly interconnecting a pair of bed and wall units that communicate the patient information, including bed exit alerts, from the patient supporting equipment to the hospital nurse call system. A linking procedure is provided for establishing a communications link to interconnect the pair of units, wherein the communications link fails upon detection of a third communications device simultaneously undergoing the link attempt mode. In one embodiment, the system provides for advanced collision detection by monitoring corruption of the end-of-packet byte within the periodic check-in message sequences between the linked units to prevent data corruption and future collisions. To ensure prompt interconnection of units, embodiments of the invention provide for a link reminder to alert the health care provider to initiate the steps for linking the bed and wall units whenever two or more unlinked units are in proximity.

The alerting service is provided on a digital video recorder (DVR) or other computing device as an application that is loaded into memory. The DVR is configured with geographic information and is able to determine its geographic location. A data channel is used for receiving the emergency bulletins. A central database system receives the emergency bulletins and transmits to the DVR. The DVR may process the bulletins to select those which are geographically relevant. The DVR displays the bulletins on top of the video signal that it is sending to a display device. The bulletin is displayed even if the user is pausing, rewinding, fast-forwarding, altering the display of the program content, or controlling the DVR.

As a result of the absence of horizontal extension of the bonding part, electric components of the object to be pressed are not subjected to a force that horizontally moves the electric components and the electric components are vertically pressed downward and connected to the terminals of the substrate. The device also includes a mechanism whereby the scraping edge of the secondary plow follows the same path as the scraping edge of moldboard by sliding movement of the secondary plow relative to the drive frame, and the blade of the auxiliary plow may be formed by tines or a resilient blade.

The operating system loads a standard disk driver to interface with the disk object, thereby enabling transparent access to the RAID system.
