  • Publication number: 20240384683
Abstract: An apparatus includes a heater having a combustion chamber, an inlet port to provide fuel into the combustion chamber, and an outlet port to expel exhaust gases from the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber may be insulated. An exhaust channel is operably coupled to the outlet port and is configured to convey exhaust gases away from the combustion chamber. A nozzle, such as a de Laval nozzle, is incorporated into the exhaust channel and is configured to accelerate the exhaust gases through the exhaust channel. A tesla turbine is operably coupled to the exhaust channel and is configured to generate rotational power from the accelerated exhaust gases. In certain embodiments, disks of the tesla turbine are coated with a catalytic material to break apart unburned particles in the exhaust gases. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10495300
Abstract: A highly efficient indoor heating system and device is described. The device is equipped with an internal chimney, as well as vents that are configured to maximize the draft applied to the flame housed within a stove combustion area. The heater is configured to reach temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Fahrenheit in approximately ten minutes. A gravity fed fuel tube, potentially in communication with a wood pellet hopper, is configured to deliver fuel to the stove of the heater. Heat is distributed throughout the structure of the device, and a convection chamber within the device ensures that heat generated is not quickly lost via exhaust.

  • Patent number: 10455187
Abstract: A 360° camera system that eliminates problems associated with capturing real-time encounters between first responders, i.e., law enforcement personnel (such as police officers) and civilians such that all individuals involved in the encounter can be held accountable for their actions, wherein multiple cameras are provided, e.g., two to three cameras, consisting of cameras that acquire images in a 360° range, as opposed to conventional cameras that shoot up to a range of 170°, such that questions about sequence of events and their circumstances are eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20140060056
Abstract: The rotational engine assembly includes a housing defining a rotor interior. The housing defining an inlet and an outlet extending into the rotor interior. The housing further defining a vane cavity between the inlet and the outlet. A vane movably mounted to the housing to move into and out of the vane cavity. A crankshaft extending through the rotor interior. A rotor radially fixed to the crankshaft in the rotor interior. The rotor defining a working chamber in the rotor interior between the rotor and the housing. The rotor includes at least one thruster extending from the rotor surface transverse to the crankshaft and dividing the working chamber. A compressor in fluid communication with the inlet for supplying compressed air to be mixed with the fuel. An ignition source mounted to the housing and having access to the working chamber for igniting the compressed air fuel charge.

  • Patent number: 7251641
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a computer system for providing access to a database upon a request from an application computer program 250. The computer system includes a data model 260 represented in a data dictionary 230, an application program interface, a data storage 220, and a database kernel 210, 215 providing access from the application program interface to the data storage 220. The database kernel 210, 215 comprises a runtime module 210 for providing access from the application program interface to the database kernel and a storage engine module 215 for providing access from the runtime module 210 to the data storage 220. The runtime module 210 is dynamically changeable, dependent on the data model 260 represented in the data dictionary 230, while the storage engine module 215 is invariable and independent of the data model.
