  • Patent number: 7628852
Abstract: Described herein are new cementitious mortars with a high degree of fluidity and high final resistance. The mortars contain water, a hydraulic binder, a pozzolanic substance (finely ground slag), a fluidifier and/or superfluidifier, a setting regulator, and aggregates having a specific granulometric distribution. The aggregates are made up of three highly monogranular fractions (A, B, C), and a fourth fraction (D) having a low monogranularity. The new mortars described herein have values of fluidity higher, by approximately 70%, than those of mortars produced with traditional aggregates. The increase in fluidity is obtained without increasing the water/cement ratio and without increasing the amount of fluidifiers/superfluidifiers present. The mortars produced according to the invention may be used to advantage in all applications in which it is required to associate a high degree of fluidity and a high final mechanical resistance, both in compression and in flexure.

  • Publication number: 20080308014
Abstract: Described herein are new cementitious mortars with a high degree of fluidity and short consolidation times. The mortars contain water, a fast-setting cement, fluidifiers and/or superfluidifiers, setting regulators and aggregates having a specific granulometric distribution. The aggregates are made up of two fractions with different grain size such that the ratio between the characteristic grain diameters of the two fractions is comprised between 2.2 and 3.2. The new mortars thus obtained have values of fluidity 2-3 times higher than those of mortars produced with traditional aggregates; the increase in fluidity is obtained without increasing the water/cement ratio and without increasing the amount of fluidifiers present. The mortars produced according to the invention may be used to advantage in all applications in which it is required to associate a high degree of fluidity and a rapid consolidation.

  • Patent number: 6602343
Abstract: The present invention refers to a hydraulic binder made from Portland clinker containing calcium fluoroaluminate 11CaO.7Al2O3.CaF2, to which sodium aluminate, lime, and optionally, sodium bicarbonate are added. The added lime has not undergone the formation process of clinker. The cement mix that can be obtained with this binder has a very short hardening time, scarcely influenced by temperature variations during laying operations.

  • Patent number: 6406536
Abstract: Described herein is the use of a combination of organic additives that is particularly advantageous for the preparation of cementitious compositions having a high conservation of the degree of white, which contain in mass a photocatalyst that is able to oxidize, in the presence of light, air and ambient humidity, pollutant substances present in the environment, the said photocatalyst being, in particular, titanium dioxide prevalently in the form of anatase. The above combination of additives comprises the following: a melamine resin; a cellulose ether; a polymer chosen from among an ethylene polymer, an acrylic polymer, and a terpolymer comprising as co-monomers at least one ester of acrylic acid with an alcohol and at least one ester of vinyl alcohol with a carboxylic acid, or alternatively, an acrylic, styrene or butadiene latex; and a chemically modified starch.
