Abstract: The present invention provides a tilting control assembly for a chair which comprises a support mechanism mounted on a chair leg post, a chair seat carried by the support mechanism, and a chair back arranged behind the seat. At least one of the seat and the back constitutes a tiltable member. The tilting control assembly comprises at least one tilting control spring for elastically supporting the tiltable member via at least one contact member, and an adjusting mechanism which is automatically responsive to the weight applied to the seat for causing relative displacement between the tilting control spring and the contact member in a manner such that the spring constant of the tilting control spring increases as the applied weight increases.

Abstract: A wall cabinet provided with an upper dividing member and a lower pedestal adjustable of height each on a container part constituted of various cabinets tall enough to reach a ceiling surface from a room floor surface, and installed at the central or other portions in a room to partition the room properly. Further provided is an all locking device capable of locking the cabinets constituting the container part of the wall cabinet all at once.

Abstract: A guiding system for movable suspended partition walls comprising a main guide rail and two or more branch guide rails each extending from one side of the main guide rail to define two or more directional change points, a plurality of retainers movably disposed within the guide rails and suspending therefrom a plurality of partition walls, and guide members to select directions of movement of the retainers so that selected one or ones only among the retainers can move from the main guide rail into a selected one of the branch guide rails or vice versa without bringing the retainers to a stop at the directional change points.

A movable carriage is vertically and horizontally displaceable along the shelves and carries apparatus for engagement with the commodity selected, apparatus for transferring the selected commodity to the carriage and apparatus for securely holding the selected commodity to the carriage. After transfer of the commodity to the carriage, the carriage may be moved to a commodity processing area.

Abstract: Apparatus for storing and retrieving individual file folders including a pair of symmetrical shelf units, positioned face to face and having a moveable column designed to move horizontally between the shelf units. A carriage is attached to the moveable column and is designed to move vertically between the shelf units. Store or retrieve commands are placed into the system via an operations table and in response to the commands individual file folders are stored and retrieved. Individual storage and retrieval is accomplished by apparatus designed to push aside adjoining file folders to gain access to a storage position and by code marks included on the shelf units to identify individual storage positions.

Abstract: An automatic positioning system for a commodity carriage in an automatic storage system includes shelves arranged to have commodity storage positions extending in the vertical and horizontal direction and a commodity carriage adapted to access each of the storage positions. Code marks identify each of the storage positions and a first group code scanning device, responsive to the code marks, detects groups of N adjacent storage positions and slows the movement of the commodity carriage in response thereto. N individual code scanning devices, responsive to the code marks, detect individual storage positions and the commodity carriage is stopped in response to the outputs of the group and individual scanning devices.

Abstract: Apparatus for the storage of commodities which includes a plurality of shelves arranged to provide storage positions in the vertical and horizontal direction and a commodity carriage, containing a commodity to be stored, designed to move up and down and left and right along a front face of the shelves. The commodity carriage is positioned at a point facing a predetermined storage location in the shelves and apparatus "pushes-aside" the commodities contained in adjacent storage location so that thecommodity contained on the carriage can be stored without interference.
