Abstract: The invention relates to a method for making workpieces of ferritic steel, such as drilling screws wherein the workpiece is made of a transformable chrome steel having a chrome percentage of at least 13%, whereupon a workpiece receives a coating from nickel or a nickel or cobald alloy having a thickness of at least 5 .mu.m, and subsequently the workpiece is heat treated under oxygen free environment at at least 850.degree. C. so as to obtain a desired hardness and corrosion resistance.

Abstract: A detachable carrier device for bulky articles includes a coupling portion and a handling portion. The coupling portion has an elongated aperture adapted to be engaged by the head of a screw threaded into the article. The aperture includes a large diameter portion for initially cooperating with the screw head under no load conditions, and a smaller diameter portion for cooperating with the screw head under load conditions whereby the article can be safely supported and transported by the carrier device.

Abstract: A device for adjusting and fixedly securing window frames and door cases or the like within wall openings comprising at least one manually rotatable threaded shaft upon which a fixture is mounted and adapted to be connected with a portion of the frame, the fixture being supported upon a side wall of the wall opening, wherein the threaded shaft is directly supported upon the side wall of the opening by means of a thrust element at its free end, the fixture comprising a shaft nut portion, and wherein the fixture detachably grips the frame portion by means of support portions such that the frame can be fixedly secured with respect to the associated wall of the opening, and is also transversely displaceable.

Abstract: A supplementary device for driving screws by means of a power-driven screw driver having a driver blade or the like and the device comprising a holding member extending parallel to the driver blade, variable in its length and having a lateral extension, and a magazine disc releasably attached to and rotatably supported upon the lateral extension, the magazine disc being adapted to receive a plurality of screws arranged upon a circular locus, the axis of the driver blade substantially extending through a point of the circular locus and the screws being supported upon the disc such that they can be removed from the disc by means of axial pressure applied thereto by means of the driver blade.
