  • Patent number: 5134721
Abstract: There is disclosed a noise eliminating device for an angle-modulated wave, in which a carrier amplitude fluctuation of an angle-modulated input wave is detected in a frequency difference detector to obtain a frequency variation signal corresponding to a frequency variation arising at an amplitude limiter from the carrier amplitude fluctuation. Noise caused by the amplitude fluctuation is eliminated from the angle-modulated input wave by subtracting the frequency variation signal from an output signal of the amplitude limiter after or before the frequency difference detector.

  • Patent number: 5038075
Abstract: A traveling-wave deflection system comprising a pair of deflectors disposed opposite each other across the path of an electron beam from an electron gun to a screen in a cathode-ray tube. Each deflector has a helical conductor wound around a core structure generally extending along the beam path. If made solely of an insulating material as in the prior art, the core structures would be electrified in use of the CRT, with the consequent deflection defocusing and bright line displacement. Therefore, in order to avoid electrification, the core structures are each enveloped in an antielectrification layer of a conducting material having a higher resistivity than the helical conductor. An embodiment is also disclosed wherein the core structures are wholly of conductive material.

  • Patent number: 4978195
Abstract: An apparatus for translating an optical image, as of a waveform, created by an electron beam device such as a cathode-ray tube into an electric signal. A fiber optics faceplate, having a multiplicity of optical fibers laid parallel to one another, is held against the CRT screen for transmitting the optical image to an image sensor such as that comprised of charge-coupled devices. Although preferable to optical lens systems because of far less transmission loss, the fiber optics faceplate has been susceptible to the irregular electrification of its light-exit surface, resulting in the appearance of starlike bright dots upon image reproduction from the output from the image sensor. Such irregular electrification is avoided by providing a transparent layer of electrically conducting material between the fiber optics faceplate and the image sensor.

  • Patent number: 4959689
Abstract: An electrophotographic plate-making machine including a light source and a movable copy holder forming a scanning exposure system for focusing a light at a focus region. A first electric motor is connected to the copy holder, and a sensitive paper is conveyed by a plurality of conveying rollers. Two of the conveying rollers are arranged at the focus region in series with the remaining conveying rollers. A second electric motor is connected to the conveying rollers and a third electric motor is connected to the focus region rollers. Accordingly, the first, second and third electric drive motors, respectively, can move the copy holder, the conveying rollers and the focus region rollers independently of each other, so that a first scanning exposure can be carried out on one portion of a sensitive paper and a second scanning exposure can be carried out on the remaining portion of the sensitive paper.

  • Patent number: 4805165
Abstract: A telecommunications network such as a key telephone system having n terminal devices such as telephone sets which are notionally divided into m groups, for the time division multiplex transmission and reception of m groups of n channels of data, where n is at least six and m is at least three. The invention particularly features a method of, and apparatus for, demultiplexing the multiplex data signal prior to reception by the terminal devices. The multiplex data signal is such that the n channels of data are assigned respectively to a set of n consecutive time slots making up one frame. Under the direction of a control circuit the multiplexed m groups of n channels of data are written onto m groups of n demultiplexing shift registers, respectively, at a relatively high speed.
