  • Patent number: 6193566
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an electric terminal device as featured by providing at one side of a washer for supporting a terminal screw a washer guide section which is bent toward a terminal fixture as mated with the terminal screw and extends in a direction parallel with the axis of such terminal screw while providing a recovery spring between a housing and a midway portion in back of the washer guide section (at the opposite side to the terminal screw), wherein where no lead wires are implemented therein, it is possible to let the device be in the recovered state due to presence of the recovery-spring force thus enabling a lead wire to be directly inserted into a gap above the terminal fixture; conversely, where the wire is to be taken out of it, unlocking the terminal screw may permit automatic recovery at the recovered state due to application of the recovery spring force.

  • Patent number: 6043504
Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device which emits first light of a wavelength absorbed by a substance containing an OH group is sent toward a detection object. A semiconductor light-emitting device emits second visible light toward the detection object. A photoreceptor receives light from the detection object and acquires first and second received light-quantities derived from the respective ones of the first and second light. A processing system corrects the first photoreceiving quantity on the basis of the second photoreceiving quantity. The processing system determines the color of the detection object by the second photoreceiving quantity, and corrects the first photoreceiving quantity on the basis of this determination result. Further, it compares the corrected first photoreceiving quantity with a prescribed threshold value, detects whether or not water, which is the subject containing the OH group, is contained in the detection object, and outputs the same as an output signal.

  • Patent number: 6037551
Abstract: A safety switch in which one piece of cam plate 1 (51) which rotates and moves the operating rod 6 (7) of the contact of the switch portion as the actuator 102 enters the operating portion 111 (511), and the lock plates 2, 3 (lock pieces 52, 53) are arranged on the side of the cam plate 1 (51) to form a lock mechanism for restricting the rotation of the cam plate 1 (51) so that the lock mechanism of the cam plate 1 (51) by lock plates 2, 3 (lock pieces 52, 53) is released and the cam plate 1 (51) is rotated only when the actuator 102 enters, thereby preventing the operating portion from being operated by any tool other than the special-purpose actuator. In one of the specific embodiments, the cam plate 1 is formed with recesses 1a, 1b and lock grooves 1c, 1d, and the lock plates 2, 3 are respectively formed with inclined surfaces 2a, 3a and engaging pawls 2c, 3c for fitting into the lock grooves 1c, 1d.

  • Patent number: 5977888
Abstract: A touch panel (4) and an operation part (30) are provided on display means (2). A permanent magnet (52) is mounted on a push button (32), and a magnetic metal plate (58) is mounted on a support frame (36). When the push button (32) starts to be pushed down toward the touch panel (4), the push button (32) moves toward the touch panel (4) against magnetic attractive force of the permanent magnet (52) and the magnetic metal plate (58), and an operation forward end part (46) operates a touch switch (4a). Stroke feeling results from this movement. Further, the aforementioned magnetic attractive force abruptly reduces in an initial period of this movement, and an operator of the push button (32) can attain click feeling. Since the stroke feeling and the click feeling are caused in the operation of the push button (32), operability is improved while making the best use of such an advantage that the touch panel (4) is of a thin type.

  • Patent number: 5498022
Abstract: The basic material from which the steering wheel and the substrate from which a dash board of a motor vehicle are fabricated are colored a predetermined visible color. The dash board and steering wheel each have air bag assemblies mounted therein. The air bag container and air bag gate are also fabricated from a material that has been colored the same visible color as the color of the steering wheel and/or dash board in which the air bag assembly will be mounted. These components are color coordinated during assembly in a motor vehicle. The steering wheel, the dash board and the air bag container are finished or covered with a surface finish material that has the same visible color as the surface being finished so that when the finish material chips off the surface covered by the finish material, such as caused by deployment of the air bag, unsightliness caused by differences in visible color is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5140622
Abstract: A data transmission system with double lines comprises a plurality of sensor terminals connected to the current line in cascade, and a controller connected to a current input side of the first sensor terminal. A switch device in each sensor terminal connects the current line to a sensor circuit for a specified time after a current begins to flow to the current input side of the sensor terminal, and connects the current line to the current output side of the sensor terminal after an elapse of the specified time. After that switching, the current begins to flow to the next sensor terminal. If the sensor turns on while the current is flowing to the sensor circuit, the value of the current of the current line may be greater. The controller detects value of the current and decides state of the sensor circuit in the sensor terminal according to the value of the current.
