Abstract: An electric cable cutter of the present invention comprises a housing, and a stationary blade and a moving blade which are exposed from the housing. The housing includes a body unit containing an electric motor and a planetary reduction gear driven by the electric motor, a handle unit formed so as to be easily held by hand, and a power source unit to which a battery cartridge is inserted. A switch lever for operating the switch to drive the electric motor is placed on the holding unit. Owing to this structure, a user easily cuts a cable by one hand at the inconvenient places, e.g., at height. This electric cable cutter is portable because of the rechargeable battery, so that this cutter can be utilized in any place.
Abstract: An electric hair trimmer with a blade edge protective mechanism including a protective plate that is movable between two positions along movable and immovable blades so that the protective plate extends beyond the edges of the blades when the shutter plate is at one position thus hindering the exposure of the blade edges and retracts from the edges of the blade when the protective plate is at another position thus exposing the blade edges. The main switch of the trimmer is linked to the protective plate so that the operation of the main switch changes the position of the protective plate between two positions.
Abstract: An electric shaver having a shaver head that can be changed in its orientation so as to conform to the facial configuration. The shaver including a blade holding plate fastened to one end of the shaver housing, and a shaver head supporting member which protrudes outward is installed on the center of this blade holding plate. The apex of the shaver head supporting member contacts a projecting element projecting from the inside of the shaver head, so that the shaver head can pivot in any direction or swivel.
Abstract: An electric shaver having a shaving head which can pivot and be depressed into the housing of the shaver. The shaving head is mounted on pivot shafts that can be moved toward the inside of the shaver housing, thus allowing the shaving head to be pressed into the housing but bounce back to the original position by vertical springs; and the shaving head also pivots about the pivot shafts but is forced back to its original and upright position by lateral springs.
Abstract: An electric shaver including a plurality of motors and corresponding number of shearing units each substantially comprising an inner cutter and an outer cutter. The inner cutter of each one of the shearing units is directly connected to one of the motors so that each inner cutter is directly driven by each motor. The shearing units are arranged, for example, so as to be at corners of a triangle in the head portion of the shaver housing.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for opening slits of uneven lengths in the concentric circular shaving sections of an external cutting member that is used in an electric razor using a rotary cutter that cuts the shaving sections of the external cutting member in radial directions as the external cutting member is rotated around its axis by a predetermined angle with a use of an index device. The differences in the length of the slit are obtained by changing the cutting angle of the rotary cutter relative to the external cutting member.
Abstract: An electric rotary razor including at least one outer cutter which has slits for whisker entry and at least one inner cutter having a plurality of cutter blades. Each one of the cutting blades is inclined in the rotational direction of the inner cutter and has a cutting edge surface at its upper end that slide on the bottom surface of the outer cutter. The cutting edge surface is thinner than the cutter blade or the cutter blade can have a recess beneath the cutting edge surface. Thus, sheared whiskers are prevented from sticking to the cutter blade of the inner cutter.
