Abstract: Described herein are methods for treatment of oral mucositis comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a composition comprising extracts from the plant species Sambucus nigra, Echinacea purpurea, and Centella asiatica; in patients treated with a once-weekly regimen of 30-40 mg/m2 of cisplatin.

Abstract: Described herein are novel compositions comprising a cannabis component selected from the group consisting of: a cannabinoid, a flavonoid and a terpenoid; and a protein, selected from the group consisting of whey and a plant protein. According to an embodiment, the cannabis component is non-covalently bound to the whey or to the plant protein. The plant protein may be selected from the group consisting of: soy protein, pea protein, rice protein, hemp protein, and hops protein or other plant derived protein.

Abstract: Described herein are hydrogel compositions comprising extracts of Sambucus nigra, Centella asiatica and Echinacea purpurea. The compositions were found to have improved wound-healing effects. Also described herein are methods for treatment of a wound comprising administering, topically to a patient in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a hydrogel composition comprising extracts of Sambucus nigra, Centella asiatica and Echinacea purpurea.

Abstract: A method for producing a fatty acid-cannabinoid-plasma protein (FCP) composition, the method comprising: contacting a plasma protein or a peptide portion thereof with a supplemental fatty acid composition comprising at least one fatty acid; and contacting the plasma protein or portion thereof with a cannabinoid composition comprising at least one cannabinoid, such that a combined composition is prepared, which comprises a FCP complex in which the at least one fatty acid and the at least one cannabinoid is bound to the plasma protein or portion thereof.

Abstract: An aspect of embodiments of the invention relates to providing novel therapeutic compositions comprising herbal extracts of the plant species Sambucus nigra, Echinacea purpurea, and Centella asiatica. The compositions exhibit increased therapeutic activity for treatment of various inflammatory diseases, in particular, inflammatory diseases of mucosa or skin relative to previously identified compositions. In addition the compositions exhibit increased solubility relative to previously identified compositions. In an embodiment of the invention, the ratio of Sambucus nigra:Echinacea purpurea:Centella asiatica is 7:1:2. An embodiment of the invention provides methods for preparing an aqueous therapeutic composition comprising extracts of the aforementioned plant species, using at least two extractions.

Abstract: At least one protein-bound cannabinoid bound to a plasma protein for use as a medicament for treatment of a condition, wherein a total cannabinoid dose of the at least one protein-bound cannabinoid, administered over a time period comprising multiple administrations, is lower relative to a total cannabinoid dose of the at least one cannabinoid when administered in unbound form for achieving a same degree of therapeutic effect for treating the condition.

Abstract: A vapor/smoke capturing trap system featuring a smoke chamber trap for precipitating the smoke dispersed in the chamber. The chamber includes a bottom pool for containing a reservoir of a liquid solvent, and a gas filled portion in which a lower smog portion contains fog-sized droplets of the liquid solvent and into which the smoke is introduced, and an upper clear portion in which the concentration of the smoke and the droplets is decreased, respective of their concentration in the smog portion. A fog-condenser, disposed between the smog portion and the clear portion, precipitates the fog droplets of the smog portion into the pool. A fine mist generator streams a jet of fog-sized droplets of the liquid solvent mixed with smoke toward a concentration of the smoke at the smog portion. A closed loop gas circulator withdraws gas from the clear portion and recirculates the gas under pressure through the fine mist generator into the smog portion.
