Abstract: A method of stabilizing a dike using a ground anchor assembly, includes: connecting a ground anchor to a first end of a tensile member; introducing the ground anchor through the earth body and into a stable layer beneath the dike; providing a pressure distributing member on or around the tensile member at a position within the dike where stabilization against lateral earth movement is required; and connecting a second end of the tensile member to a counter member at an outer surface of the dike.
Abstract: A ground plug for stabilizing a dike, includes a plug front end suitable for being driven into a dike, and an elongate plug body, wherein the plug body is provided with a pressure distributing member arranged to prevent earth flow in a direction perpendicular to a length direction of the plug, and the plug front end includes a recess for receiving a drive member.
Abstract: A method for pipe laying, includes the step of vertically forcing a generally rigid pipe section in a substantially vertical direction downwards from a position above ground towards a desired pipe section position in the ground, wherein the pipe section maintains a substantially horizontal position upon forcing the pipe section downwards. The vertically forcing a generally rigid pipe section in a substantially vertical direction downwards is beneficial for pipe laying because time consuming digging of a slit is not required anymore.
Abstract: A method for applying a pivoting ground anchor on considerable depth, the anchor including; a first coupling member for temporary coupling the anchor with a driving rod to drive the anchor to the considerable depth; and, a tension member for coupling the anchor to the object to be anchored, a second coupling member which fixedly couples the anchor to the tension member, wherein the tension member is of one piece and has a considerable length for applying the pivoting ground anchor on considerable depth, and wherein the method includes the step; continuously supplying the tension member to the ground anchor without interruption during driving the ground anchor to the considerable depth.
Abstract: A stabilizing device for a load element of a ground anchor includes two plate members, wherein the plate members have a generally L-shape and are complementary and do form a generally cross shape when coupled together and when coupled together form a feed through sleeve for leading the load element there through. Each plate member includes at least one recess surrounded by plate material, which at least one recess of each plate member receives a central feed through sleeve forming plate member portion when the plate members are coupled together for forming the generally cross shaped stabilizing device.
