  • Patent number: 10030809
Abstract: A beam-receiving masonry unit bears an outdoor condenser component of a split air conditioning system. The masonry unit generally includes first and second faces each having at least one opening defined by one or more structurally supportive edges. The first face, the second face, and the space between them are sized to incorporate the unit into a block wall or foundation. The openings are positioned to receive a condenser support beam, and the structurally supportive edges in the faces bear the condenser support beam. The unit resists rotation of the beam after the unit is incorporated into a block wall or foundation. A fill opening allows cementitious fill to enter into the unit to bond the unit to a block wall or foundation.

  • Patent number: 9702106
Abstract: A prefabricated outdoor support pad is configured for transport from factory to field and above-grade installation on level ground to support a condenser or transformer. A flexible geosynthetic material is joined to the rigid platform along a perimeter and corners of the rigid platform. Upon installation, the geosynthetic material is inserted into the ground, forming an erosion-resisting barrier. Erosion control kits are also provided for outdoor condenser or transformer support pads. One type of the kit comprises a flexible geotextile soil retention barrier sized for attachment to the support pad and insertion into the ground and mechanical attachment members. Another type of the kit comprises a hard-walled ground-insertable soil retention barrier configured to wrap around soil under at least a corner of the support pad when the support pad is placed on grade and mechanical attachment members configured to attach the soil retention barrier to the support pad.

  • Patent number: 9433263
Abstract: A dual name badge, or a kit for making the same, generally includes two name badges joined by a connector, the connector worn over a person's shoulder such that a first name badge on the person's front faces forward and a second name badge on the person's back faces the opposite direction. Thus the dual name badge is generally bi-directional. In use, generally, two name badges are printed and joined by a connector, the connector is bent to fit over a shoulder, and at least one releasable attachment is added to allow the dual name badge to attach to clothing. The first name badge may be oblique to the connector or to the second name badge. Thereby, the dual name badge is properly placed on a torso and enhances a person's identification.

  • Patent number: 9410731
Abstract: An expandable secondary condensate drain pan comprises a drainage basin formed by sidewalls that extend upwardly around a perimeter of the drain pan from a base. An expansion section allows portions of the base and sidewalls to be expanded or compressed. When located along a side of the drain pan, the base of the expansion section may be stepped such that the base at the side of the pan is higher than the base toward the center of the pan, allowing drainage to cascade away from the side of the pan. The expansion section may be strengthened against cracking by a relatively thin coating or film. A method for installing a pre-manufactured expandable secondary condensate drain pan under an air conditioning unit comprises adjusting the size of the drain pan, placing the drain pan on a support, and setting an air conditioning unit on the drain pan.

  • Publication number: 20130008526
Abstract: A secondary condensate drop-front drain pan comprises a drainage basin formed by a main basin portion, an auxiliary basin portion, and sidewalls that extend upwardly around a perimeter of the drain pan from both the main and auxiliary basin portions. The auxiliary basin portion, which is located along a side of the pan, is stepped down relative to the main basin portion. A transition portion between the main and auxiliary basin portions may be flexible or convertible and operative to configure the drain pan between a stepped configuration and a standard or substantially flat configuration. Downwardly extending projections or lugs may descend below the plane of the drainage basin to form notches or saddles for straddling or mounting the drain pan to support beams. The drain pan may be nestably stackable.
