Abstract: No-rinse compositions and a process are provided for inhibiting corrosion of ferrous or non-ferrous metal surfaces and for producing a surface to which synthetic resin coating compositions will adhere so that the resultant coatings have satisfactory impact and bending resistance, together with resistance to creeping corrosion between the metal and the dried resin coating.
Abstract: A new and useful pigment is prepared by reacting an inorganic silicofluoride and an inorganic calcium compound selected from the group consisting of calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide and calcium carbonate. The product is especially useful in protective coating compositions which are applied to metals in order to enhance adherence to and corrosion resistance of metals such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, steel and alloys of said metals.

Abstract: A process is provided for coating a metal substrate to give new and improved results in the preparation of resin coated metals, particularly steel, aluminum, magnesium, and zinc surfaced articles including galvanized iron or steel.
Abstract: A process is provided for preparing a hexavalent chromium containing emulsion coating composition without causing coagulation of the emulsion and for providing an emulsion coating composition containing at least one water insoluble particulate film-forming thermoplastic resin which is highly effective as a coating for a metal substrate to give new and improved results in the preparation of resin coated metals, particularly steel, aluminum, magnesium, and zinc surfaced articles including galvanized iron or steel.
