The valve assembly is foldable from an unfolded state to a folded state, such that the first valve portion engages with the second valve portion. According to a second embodiment, the valve assembly comprises a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet, a conduit, a blocking member, and a flexible member arranged to seal against the blocking member. The conduit comprises at least one bend and is arranged such that fluid may flow from the liquid inlet, past the bend and through the liquid outlet to at least indirectly impinge the flexible member.

The teether comprises an exterior portion and a mouthpiece wherein the mouthpiece includes a substantially U-shaped biting section comprising first and second arms extending from a central portion. At least part of said central portion is resiliently collapsible upon application of pressure thereto during use of the teether by an infant.

Abstract: A valve assembly for a drinking vessel which includes a first valve portion having a fluid outlet and a second valve portion including a flexible diaphragm having a blocking portion movable from a closed sealing position to an open position with the second valve portion holding the flexible diaphragm relative to the first valve portion such that when the flexible diaphragm is in the closed sealing position the blocking portion seals the fluid outlet of the first valve portion to prevent fluid flow therethrough, the second valve portion further includes one or more apertures formed therein and spaced from the blocking portion such that a fluid flow path is formed from the fluid outlet of the first valve portion to at least one of the apertures of the second valve portion when the blocking portion is moved from the closed sealing position to the open position.

Abstract: There is disclosed a nipple (10) suitable for a soother, feeding bottle or drinking vessel. The nipple (10) has a teat portion (12), an areola portion (14) and a base portion (16). The nipple (10) has an interior wall (15) and a plurality of paths (20), prefereably at least partly recessed, in the interior wall (15). Each path (20) has a first end (25) located in the teat portion (12) and a second end (26) located in the areola portion (14).
