    Abstract: A locking stem includes a bolt fastener having a pivoting tab that is disposed within a radial slot formed in one end of a shaft of the fastener, the pivoting tab pivots about a pivot, the tab has a pivot point located off center so the tab falls to one side when tilted. The bolt fastener attaches to a complementary fastener attached to a fixture. The locking stem may be for a caster.
