    Abstract: A retractable handle arrangement comprises a handle movable between stowed, deployed and operative states. That movement is controlled by a mechanism having first and second links each connected to a supporting structure and to the handle. At least one of those links is connected to the supporting structure by a joint defining a pivot axis that is movable is response to movement of the handle between the deployed state and the operative state. That movement of the pivot axis is used to unlatch a door or other closure associated with the handle, for example via a crank acting on a Bowden cable.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus 10 for interacting remotely with a vehicle 12 comprising data transfer means 22 for wirelessly communicating messages between a mobile communications device 18 operable by a user and a vehicle databus 24 located within the vehicle 12. Optionally, the data transfer means 22 is arranged to wirelessly communicate with the mobile communications device 18 via a web server 14, a web portal or other internet-connected host system. The data transfer means 22 may be arranged to wirelessly communicate with the web portal via a GSM or other cellular communications network 13. After the vehicle engine has stopped, communication of messages may continue on an intermittent basis, or may be suspended after a predetermined time has elapsed or when the vehicle battery voltage reaches a predetermined threshold. High priority messages may be communicated at any time after the vehicle engine has stopped.

    Abstract: An improved grease-expelling wheel bearing assembly (1) comprises a grease expelling seal (3), and a grease distributor (5). The grease distributor (5) comprises a collar (7) for mounting about the shaft (9) of a rotor nut (11) and, projecting from the collar (7), at least one grease spreading blade (13) extending radially outwards from the collar towards the assembly housing (15), part (17) of the area between the collar (7) and the housing (15) not being covered by a blade (13), the arrangement being such that rotation of the blade (13) causes grease expelled from the bearing seal (3) to be spread evenly around the circumference of the seal, without preventing its contact with the rotor nut (11).

    Abstract: An anti-roll bar assembly suitable for use in motor vehicles is mounted with respect to a cross beam (24) by means of bearings (30) which engage longitudinally extending portions of the anti-roll bar (12). The bearings (30) engage the first and second end portions (16) of an anti-roll bar intermediate first and second free ends (18) of the end portions (16) and a central portion (14) of the anti-roll bar (12). The bearings (30) fall on a common axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle and permit adjustment transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle to accommodate tolerance build up in manufacture of the motor vehicle.
