  • Patent number: 5503471
Abstract: An adjustable shelf support system for display cases and showcases for containing articles for display. The system includes a plurality of individual pins that are each for adjustable mounting onto a showcase vertical support whereto showcase walls are maintained, each pin to extend into the showcase, at a right angle to the vertical support. Each vertical support includes a longitudinal slot formed therein that has a keyhole cross section the longitudinal slot to receive a head end of the pin fitted to travel therein, which pin head end is an end of a threaded shaft to extend through a narrow section of the slot, at a right angle, into the showcase. A sleeve, that has a smooth wall center longitudinal passage formed therethrough, is disposed over the threaded shaft, and a cylinder, that includes a threaded center longitudinal passage formed therethrough, is arranged for turning onto the threaded shaft.

  • Patent number: 5467260
Abstract: A showcase light lens retainer system consisting of a pair of identical retainers each for pivotal mounting to a showcase or display light housing, adjacent to an opening into said housing that is covered by a thin flat transparent or translucent lens. The individual retainers each include a side portion for pivoting over a lens end that is stepped upwardly at a side wall, above a pivotal connection of the receptacle to the housing, a distance that is approximately the same or slightly greater that the lens thickness and includes a tab that projects outwardly from the top edge of the side portion that is stepped downwardly at right angle a tab wall from the side portion to provide a wall for engaging a top or bottom lens edge, the respective stepped side portion wall to engage the lens end and the tab wall to engage the lens top or bottom edge, adjacent to the lens end, each retainer maintaining a lens end in covering arrangement over the housing opening.

  • Patent number: 5301482
Abstract: A truss assembly for supporting showcases and the like includes a straight open box tube with end caps arranged for fitting over to close the box tube ends. A tension rod is fitted through the box tube and passes beneath a fulcrum arranged across the middle of the box tube, proximate to the inner surface of the box tube bottom, with the tension rod ends threaded and passed through holes that are formed through the end caps to receive a nut turned thereover. The nuts are turned against the end cap outer surfaces so as to create a tensile stress in the tension rod that is exerted through the fulcrum, tending to lift the fulcrum and box tube middle section, bowing the box tube upwardly counter a weight of a showcase containing items supported thereon, whereby the box tube is bent back to essentially a horizontal attitude. The truss assembly of the invention further provides for mounting the box tube ends to vertical support members so as to extend therebetween, maintaining a showcase thereon.

  • Patent number: 5245518
Abstract: A lighting system that includes an essentially oval housing with end caps arranged for snap fitting and binding therein, and a surface or which housing is somewhat flattened as a mounting surface with holes formed therethrough for receiving screw type fasteners. The housing contains a ballast, double fluorescent tube holder and wiring for connection to a source of electrical energy, and a switch arrangement. The double fluorescent tube holder is accessible through a rectangular opening formed through the housing outer surface for receiving a single coupling end of a double fluorescent tube. The housing rectangular opening is to receive a translucent rectangular lens that is bent into a bow for installation, such that the forked long sides of the rectangular lens each receive an edge of one of the rectangular opening long sides fitted therein.

  • Patent number: 4535393
Abstract: A fluorescent lamp housing for fluorescent tubes comprising an elongate body with a curved central back and curved legs arranged to fit closely around a fluorescent tube. A wiring chamber is isolated from a lamp chamber by an insert strip; electrical sockets are positioned at opposite ends of the lamp chamber and are held in the housing by positioning clips and end plates. The end plates are attached by screws to the clips and are attached to tubular extensions of the wiring chamber. The tubular extensions have ends press-fitted into the wiring chamber and serve as wire guides and as journals that are clamped in mounting brackets. An insertion and removal aid is preferably provided to facilitate insertion and removal of the lamp with respect to the closely fitting housing.
