Abstract: A covered structure is formed in an arched shape and utilizes PVC pipe which is slidable through sleeves electrically welded to a cover. The PVC pipe is bent into an arched shape and is attached to spreader bars which serve as the ground contacting portion of the structure. Fiberglass rods are inserted within the arched PVC pipe so as to both strengthen and define the arch, and water bags and stakes may be attached to the spreader bar, which is also constructed of PVC pipe, so as to anchor the structure to the ground. This construction provides for a flexible covered structure which will not be destroyed by external forces, such as wind, rain, etc., since only resilient materials are used in its construction. Additionally, building code requirements which relate to the method of attachment of a structure to the ground are not applicable since a direct attachment between the structure and the ground is not required.
Abstract: A suspended recliner is provided with a leg support area which depends vertically downward from the main body of the recliner. When an individual enters the recliner, the leg support may be left in its depending position, thereby providing a chair-like support for the occupant, or the weight of the occupant may be used to provide a force to position the footrest in an aligned configuration with the main body of the recliner. The footrest is provided with a locking device to maintain this position. With the footrest locked in place, the occupant may shift his position in the hammock to provide a semi-reclining support or a totally horizontally deployed hammock with the main portion providing a sling-type chair support with the juncture of the footrest and main portion generally coinciding with the knees of the occupant. Also, the device is equipped with a centrally located vertical hanging support which requires only a single mounting point from which to hang the entire suspended recliner.
Abstract: A self-locking cable trolley having a body member which guidingly receives a cable on which the body member rides and a length of working line that permits control of the body member on the cable. Disposed on the body member is a lock device which grips the supporting cable when the working line is manipulated in a predetermined manner so as to cooperate with a control surface also provided on the body member and swing the lock device into engagement with the cable in order to selectively retain the body member of the trolley at a desired location on the cable.
