Patents Assigned to James Park Associates Limited
  • Patent number: 10301026
Abstract: A plurality of personal units for aircraft passengers is provided. Each personal unit is arranged to define a longitudinal axis. The personal units are arranged to form first and second columns along a floor to define respective first and second column axes, the personal units in each column being arranged side-by-side in a longitudinally offset relationship at an acute angle to the respective column axis. Each personal unit is arranged to define a personal space for accommodating a person in a seated position and accommodating the person in a recumbent position. At least some of the personal units are arranged such that a portion of the personal space of the respective personal unit is arranged in a stacked relationship, in a direction perpendicular to the floor, with respect to a portion of the personal space of a personal unit in the respective other column.

  • Patent number: 8087612
Abstract: A support structure for an aircraft seat includes load bearing spaced side members, each having elements for securing a seat for continuous movement between first and second positions, and a ground engaging portion. The structure further includes a stiffening web extending between the side members. The side members and the stiffening web substantially define a hollow box section of at least four sides to stiffen the side members, at least in the regions beneath the element securing the seat. The support structure allows other material than the conventional steel or aluminum constructions to be used for the support frame. For example, substantially all off the structural strength of the support may be provided by fiber reinforced composite materials.

  • Publication number: 20080283662
Abstract: An aircraft interior module can be manufactured independently of an aircraft fuselage to define a passenger cabin therein. The module can be inserted into the fuselage prior to final assembly, thereby parallelising some of the manufacturing process. This results in a time savings and a more efficient utilization of resources. The manufacturing method is particularly, although not exclusively, applicable to small jets and turboprop aircraft.
