Abstract: Disclosed is a device for producing embroidery stitch data on the basis of image data, wherein an image is read in by use of an image scanner and is divided into a plurality of latticed sections. The latticed sections are all searched through one after another and discriminated if each of the sections is stitched or not. Unit stitch patterns are selected to be stitched in the sections respectively which have been discriminated to be stitched, the selected unit stitch patterns including at most two patterns which have different initial stitch points and different end stitch points and are located in predetermined sections respectively.
Abstract: A thread guiding device in a sewing machine comprising a guide path for guiding an upper thread from a thread source to a needle and defined by a first thread guide, a pair of discs for releasably holding an upper thread, and a second thread guide formed by a spring hook of a thread tension spring member and an end portion of a take-up lever, the first and second thread guide and the thread tension spring member lying in a common plane to define a straight-line guide path.
Abstract: In a computer-controlled sewing machine including a standard machine frame and exchangeable electronic control circuit plates inclusive of an operation board, a case for receiving a control circuit plate is attached to the machine frame. The circuit plates and the case are provided with coded keying means in the form of pins and holes to guarantee the fastening of a control plate matching a particular model of the sewing machine.
