Abstract: The invention relates to a new type of measurement method for automatically recording and evaluating the Purkinje reflections of an eye in order to determine the malposition (decentration and tilt) of intraocular or natural lenses and to a device for applying said method. According to the invention, the eye is systematically illuminated from different directions and, by means of linear regression, the relative lens orientation is extracted from the position of the Pukinje reflections thus produced.
