    Abstract: A sealing member containing conductive particles and disposed in a seal region is formed between a display panel and a touch panel. A laminated structure formed on the display panel includes a first detection lines. The first detection lines extend from the seal region to a connection region and are connected through the conductive particles to terminals of second detection lines formed on the touch panel. A peripheral edge of the organic barrier is located inward from the conductive particles of the sealing member. The above described structure can facilitate a work for connecting external lines such as FPC to the display panel and the touch panel. Further, the structure can secure stability of electrical connection between the external lines and the touch panel.

A first electrode 115 is connected to a drain of the first TFT via a first through hole formed in the oxide film 110. A second electrode 116 is connected to a source of the first TFT via a second through hole formed in the oxide film 110.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device which can be manufactured at a low cost is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes a TFT substrate, a CF substrate of a size smaller than a size of the TFT substrate, and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the TFT substrate and the CF substrate. A ground pad is formed on a portion of the TFT substrate where the CF substrate does not overlap with the TFT substrate. A transparent conductive film is formed on an upper surface of the CF substrate. The transparent conductive film of the CF substrate and the ground pad formed on the TFT substrate are electrically connected with each other via a thermocompression bonding conductive tape. A double-sided adhesive tape is arranged between the thermocompression bonding conductive tape and an upper surface of the CF substrate and between the thermocompression bonding conductive tape and the TFT substrate.

The capacitor is formed between either of the first electrode and the second electrode and the third electrode, or between both the first electrode and the second electrode and the third electrode. The frame portion outside the display area comprises, on the first substrate side thereof, a peripheral circuit, and the second electrode is provided in a position more distant upward from the peripheral circuit than the first electrode.
