  • Publication number: 20150261046
Abstract: In the case of a pixel including four and more sub pixels, the area of one pixel is larger than that in the case of a pixel including three sub pixels; therefore, high definition becomes difficult. When a central display area has a structure of four and more sub pixels, in a display device, the pixel structure in a peripheral display area for use in creating a virtual image is reduced to three sub pixels, to allocate the vacant space for high density assignment. Only the pixel density in the vicinity of a frame of a lens portion is compressed, in order to apparently resolve the discord with the image of a non-lens portion. The pixel side in the peripheral display area may be even or gradually narrowed.

  • Patent number: 9129915
Abstract: Increase in resolution of an organic EL display panel is made achievable with a relatively simple process. An emissive layer of an OLED is formed by stacking an R emissive layer, a G emissive layer, and a B emissive layer corresponding to an R color, a G color, and a B color. The glass-transition temperatures Tg-R, Tg-G, and Tg-B of the R emissive layer, the G emissive layer, and the B emissive layer are set to satisfy Tg-R<Tg-G<Tg-B. Due to laser irradiation, the G pixel is selectively annealed at an annealing temperature TA satisfying Tg-R<TA<Tg-G to make the R emissive layer of the G pixel lose an emission function. Further, the B pixel is selectively annealed at TA satisfying Tg-G<TA<Tg-B to make the R emissive layer and the G emissive layer of the B pixel lose the emission function.
